Medicine Hat News The Professional Squash Association’s Ralph’s Texas Bar Open Pro-Am main draw officially kicks off today at the Downtown YMCA. Medicine Hat’s own Brock Janzer will highlight the opening day’s seven matches when he takes on France’s Baptiste Masoti at 4 p.m. in round-of-16 action. Janzer enters the tournament sitting 250th in the PSA rankings while Masoti holds the 86th spot. The draw officially gets underway at 2 p.m. with sixth-seed Dimitri Steinmann of Switzerland taking on France’s Victor Crouin. Mexico’s Alfredo Avila will hit the court at 3 p.m. against a qualifying seed before top-seed Youssef Soliman, of Egypt faces off against meets up with another qualifier at 5 p.m. The action continues with Colombian Juan Camile Vargas and France’s Sebastien Bonmalais at 6 p.m. England’s George Parker will take on a qualifying seed at 7 p.m. before Canada’s highest seed in the event at No. 2, Shawn Delierre, will take on Ondrej Uherka of the Czech Republic at 8 p.m. Calgary’s Andrew Schnell will close out the day at 9 p.m. against a qualifier to be determined. Quarter-final matches are slated for Friday, starting at 5 p.m., followed by the semifinals at 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. Saturday. The championship match is scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday with $10,000 on the line. 8
