It’s been a good start to the season for the Medicine Hat Penguins U19B ringette team.

The team played two games in Calgary on the 21st, both against the Calgary Northwest Vex.

The Penguins won the first game 12-1, then the second 18-2.

The Penguins are 4-0 and sit atop the U19B division.

League play began last weekend for the U16A Mission with two home games Sunday against the Calgary Bow View Rage.

The Mission dropped the first game 8-5 and the second 6-2.

“It was our first games this year and we have a few things to work on but overall I was happy with how the girls played. Both goalies played very well,” said head coach Marty Robinson in an email sent to the News.

Updates on local ringette teams will be published weekly.
