Medicine Hat News The Medicine Hat Tigers were dealt their first loss of the pre-season on Saturday in Moose Jaw. While rookie forward Josh Williams scored to give Medicine Hat an early lead and increase his scoring streak to five goals and two assists in three games, the Warriors dug in their heels and pulled out a 6-2 victory with a trio of goals in the second and third periods. Tanner Jeannot, Daemon Hunt and Tate Popple all scored their first goals of the pre-season to shrug off the early deficit and take a two-goal lead into the second intermission. While Medicine Hat’s Jaxon Steele put the Tigers back within one after finishing off a feed from Henry Rybinski, Moose Jaw responded with three goals in five minutes — from Brayden Tracey, Tyler Smithies and Jett Woo —to put the game out of reach. Tigers goaltender Duncan McGovern held the Warriors to one goal on 14 shots through the first half of the game before handing the crease over to Kaeden Lane. Lane took the loss after allowing five goals on 19 shots. 8
