She is also survived by her three sisters, Kay, Bev (John), Lil (Richard); sister-in-law, Marlene; two brothers, Edward and Dave (Carla); brother-in-law, Ed (Del); sister-in-law, Josephine as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Alice was predeceased by her loving husband, Ken; sister, Jean; three brothers, Robert, Bill and Kenny; two sisters-in-law, Ruby and Beatrice as well as a brother-in-law, Bert.
Alice was born on the family farm and raised in Porcupine Plain, Saskatchewan. As a young woman, she moved to Medicine Hat with her sister, Kay. It was here that she met a young man who would catch her eye and her heart. Alice and Ken were married in Medicine Hat on the 13th day of November, 1957. Alice had an unfailing work ethic which she passed on to each of her sons. Always a devoted mom, available to her boys for anything, always taking her time with them, even after a full day at work. She was the best example of what it was to be fair, patient and loving. Family and friends meant everything to Alice, with many cherished memories of family gatherings and dinners (best cook ever) which were always special. Alice will be missed by everyone who knew her, especially her condo family who kept a close eye on her after Ken’s passing and her AGT family who for many years gathered on Fridays for key lime pie.

AUDREY LINES

AUDREY LINES 1930 ~ 2026
It is with great sadness that we share that our beloved Audrey Rita Lines, of Medicine Hat, passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at the age of 96 years. Audrey was predeceased by her loving husband, Kenneth Lines, as well as her parents, George and Mary Devlin; her brother, Raymond; her sister, Shirley, and many other cherished relatives.
Audrey built a full and beautiful life centred around family, friendships, community and her faith. Born in Bracken, SK, on January 18, 1930, she was raised on the family farm with her brother and sister in Success. She started school in Success and finished up in Swift Current. She was married in 1949, and started her young family in Swift Current, before moving to Medicine Hat in 1970. Audrey was known to keep busy even until her golden years, where she was used to being told lovingly to “sit down!” amidst sneakily trying to clean dishes or whip something up for her loved ones. She was a part of the Catholic Women’s League, very active in her church, an excellent seamstress, gardener, and bridge player. She spent every week volunteering at St Joe’s and Sunnyside well into her senior years. Through it all, she kept a great sense of humour and playfulness that made moments with her so joyful and special.
Audrey leaves behind her loving children, Garry Lines (Jill), Marcy Brighton (Brian), Arleen Zeleny, Mary Ellen Buye (Ron), and Todd Lines (Barb). She will be sorely missed by her grandchildren, Rory Lines (Emily), Rhiannon Lines (Tanner), Jeremy Douglas (Dynelle), Erin Choquette (Brynn), Josh Brighton, Lael Zeleny (Kendra), Arla Zeleny, Joel Zeleny (Nancy), Caitlin Willman (Tyson), Jillian Buye (B), Janelle Eremenko (Jaden), Madeline Lines and Bennett Lines. She also leaves nine cherished great-grandchildren, and her lifelong friend and sister-in-law, Vera Leslie, along with countless extended family and friends.
The best mom, grandmother, great-grandmother (and the list goes on) will be deeply missed, but she earned her rest. Above all else, family was the most important thing in Audrey’s life. She was our rock and our family’s saving grace.
Family and friends will gather for prayers in the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTRE on Friday, March 6, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. with Fr. Fernando Genogaling celebrant. The funeral mass will be celebrated in the HOLY FAMILY PARISH on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Prince Sarpong celebrant. Interment will follow in the Hillside Cemetery. Audrey loved flowers, and the family welcomes them in her memory, delivered to the Pattison Funeral Home. To leave a message of condolence you may visit http://www.pattisonfuneralhome.com.
