DALE ARNOLD

DALE ARNOLD 1950 – 2026
Dale Paul Henri Arnold, beloved husband of Marilyn Arnold, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at the age of 75 years. He also leaves to cherish his memory his children and grandchildren, Erin (Ryan) Gillies and their children, Kale, Gabriel, Cohen and Seth, Michael (Tiffany) Arnold and their children, Elijah, Simon† and Mikayla, Amy (Trevor) Engh and their children, Kaiden and Nixon, Kelly (Andre) Caron and their children, Abigail and Casey; his siblings, Larry Arnold (Valerie Poss), Sandra (Eugene) Bossè, Raymond (Debbie) Arnold, Kent (Candice) Arnold, and Lorne (Dena) Arnold. He was predeceased by his parents, Clifford Arnold and Simone Greene and one grandson, Simon Arnold. Dale was born in Gravelbourg, Saskatchewan, and raised in Moose Jaw. At the age of 19, he moved to Red Deer, Alberta, right next door to Marilyn Blair, the girl who would become his wife and lifelong partner.
Dale was a builder at heart. Whether he was working in trailer factories, siding houses, or building new homes, he took pride in the work of his hands. He achieved his Journeyman Carpentry ticket and furthered his expertise to become a Building Safety Codes Officer. This career path relocated his family to Medicine Hat, where he served with distinction and eventually retired as the Manager of Safety Codes Services for the City of Medicine Hat.
But Dale was so much more than his career. He was an avid golfer and camper who took great pride in maintaining a beautiful yard. He was a “lottery-winning dreamer” with a heart of gold, especially when it came to his grandkids-who could always count on him for an ice cream treat. He was often a man of few words, but his character spoke volumes and he leaves behind a legacy of hard work, integrity and devotion to those he loved. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. We will miss his strong, steady presence in our lives. Family and friends will gather for prayers in the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTRE on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated in the HOLY FAMILY PARISH on Monday, February 16, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Fernando Genogaling Celebrant. The family encourages you to dress smart casual as Dale will be wearing his best button up golf shirt. Those who wish to pay their respects may do so one hour prior to both prayers and mass. The prayers and mass will be live streamed. Those who wish to attend virtually, please visit Dale’s obituary page on our website, for the link. Interment will take place in the Mount Calvary Cemetery in Red Deer, Alberta, on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. followed by lunch and fellowship. In Lieu of flowers those who wish to remember Dale with a donation, may do so to Holy Family Parish, Multiply The Hope Fund. Donations may be sent to accounting@holyfamilymh.ca.
