CLARENCE SEEFRIED
~ CLARENCE SEEFRIED ~
Just yesterday, family and friends gathered together in Cook’s chapel to celebrate Clarence’s life. The strumming his banjo and the laugher that he shared will be missed!
He loved the soil, the sun, the rain and found his peace on open plain. Now heaven holds him, calm and grand, but here below we feel his hand. His Life Lived…
His Life Cherished…
His Life Honoured.

1944 – ARLENE KRAUSZ – 2025 It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister, Arlene Krausz, wife of Terry Krausz. After getting married, Arlene and Terry moved to Calgary where she worked hauling freight and could toss 50 lb boxes of nails and even pipes. She kept the men on their toes. She then moved onto Carlton cards, where she worked for over 20 years, all the while raising her two young children. In retirement, Terry and Arlene moved back to her childhood farm, and promptly forgot what retirement meant. She was a going concern with her flowers and various chores around the farm. Peonies, Hollyhocks, and Bleeding Hearts were her favorites. Arlene had an amazing love of life and an incredible sense of humour. She will be so very missed by all who knew her. He was predeceased by his parents, Joan and William Arthur. Ken was born on January 31, 1954, to William and Joan Arthur, in Edmonton, Alberta where he was raised. While attending the University of Alberta, he worked part time at a car dealership and fell in love with Honda vehicles. A gifted salesman, Ken sold more Hondas than anyone else in Canada and was offered the opportunity to open a Honda dealership in Medicine Hat. He jumped at this opportunity and opened the dealership in 1977 with the help of his parents. There he met the love of his life Linda through Medicine Hat Musical Theatre. They were married in 1978. In 1980, Ken and his brother Hugh started working on building inventory control software to streamline parts management at the Honda dealership. In 1982, the two brothers realized they had built something special and decided to go into the software business. The dealership was sold and Autostar Compusystems Inc. was born. After years of hard work, sacrifice and perseverance, Autostar became a successful company. Ken retired from Autostar in 1993, but the business is still in operation today. Ken was an active member in the community. He volunteered with Christian Counselling, the food bank and Communities in Bloom. He served on the Catholic School Board and was an active member of the Kiwanis Club.
Ken loved to play cards and his favorite game was Bridge. He was a brilliant player and was a member of a local bridge club. Some of Ken’s best memories were made in Orlando, Florida, where he frequently vacationed with his family & friends. He loved to entertain and was known for his “24-hour” slow-cooked roast beef. Ken was a person who loved to laugh, he was always smiling and making some kind of a joke (usually a pun) and his razor-sharp wit never failed to draw chuckles from those around him. Of all the amazing things he did in his life, Ken was the most proud of his children and grandchildren.
