DONNA LYNN LESMEISTER
DONNA LYNN LESMEISTER 1950 ~ 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donna Lynn Lesmeister, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who left us on September 29, 2025, in her hometown of Medicine Hat, Alberta. Born on January 23, 1950, Donna graced the world with her presence for 75 remarkable years. Donna was known for her infectious spirit and her unwavering love for her family. She is survived by her two cherished children, David and Tara Lesmeister; ex-husband and friend, Brian Lesmeister; grandchild, Shyanne (Taylor) and great-grandchild, Hensley Magnus. In addition to her immediate family, Donna is survived by her brother, Larry Fischer (Joeanne), as well as her stepbrothers, Donald Lonson and Gilbert Lonson (Dorothy), and her dear friend, Bernie Laprette. Donna’s warmth and kindness touched many lives, and she will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Preceded in death by her beloved mother, Mary Lonson; sisters-in-law, Shirley Fischer, Fay Cain, and Anne Lonson; nephew, Dean Fischer. Donna was a woman of many passions. A dedicated collector, she had an impressive array of cow figurines made of ceramic and wood, which she proudly displayed in her home. She shared a special bond with her dog, CC, who was a constant companion and source of joy in her life. Sundays were often reserved for watching NASCAR, a hobby that she thoroughly enjoyed. Donna was also a loyal patron of Tim Horton’s, where she found comfort and connection over a cup of coffee. In her honour, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 325 Manning Road NE, Calgary, AB T2E 2P5 reflecting her compassionate spirit and desire to help others in their time of need. Donna will forever remain in our hearts. Her legacy of love, kindness, and laughter will echo in the memories we hold dear. She leaves behind a family that will continue to honour her memory through their actions and the love they share with one another. Rest in peace, dear Donna. You will be greatly missed.
