JOHN BENGERT 1950 2025
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John Bengert on August 19, 2025, with family by his side. John will be forever loved and deeply missed by his wife of 54 years, Donna; and his daughter, Shelley (Gilbert) Cyre. He was a proud grandfather to Mark Bengert (Sammi), Emmalee Morash, and Alyssa Anderson. John is also survived by his brothers, Jim (Peggy) Bengert, Tom (Germaine) Bengert, Gerry (Kelly) Bengert; sister, Helen (Harvey) Vossler; and sister-in-law, Mary Bengert; along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family. He was predeceased by his beloved son, David Bengert; his parents, John and Kay Bengert; and his brother Don Bengert.
Born and raised in Medicine Hat, John attended McCoy High School before marrying the love of his life, Donna, in 1971. A skilled journeyman carpenter/scaffolder and respected construction superintendent, John contributed to many significant projects in Medicine Hat, Fort McMurray and various locations throughout Alberta. His craftsmanship and dedication were admired by many.
Together, John and Donna owned and operated Copy Works Design and Gifts for 28 years. With his carpentry skills and warm personality, John helped create more than just a business it became a popular gathering place where many stopped in daily for coffee and conversation.
John cherished his family above all else. He had a passion for sports, primarily hockey, baseball and golf. He found great joy in greeting and welcoming others at Life Church. His genuine care for people and his desire to know their stories touched countless lives. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who lived his life with kindness, humor, and generosity of spirit.
A celebration of John’s life will be held at Life Church, 1156 27 Street Southeast, Medicine Hat with Pastor Beau Zilinski officiating on Thursday, September 4, at 1:00 p.m.

PAMELA MOEN 1952 ~ 2025 Pamela “Pam” Jean Moen of Bow Island, beloved wife of Brian Moen, passed away on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at the age of 72 years. A celebration of Pam’s life will be held in the Golden Age Club in Bow Island, Alberta on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. with refreshments to follow. Cremation has been entrusted to the Pattison Funeral Home and Crematorium.
