PEGGY LOUIS CURTHOYS

PEGGY LOUIS CURTHOYS April 8th, 1960 June 12th, 2025
“If I could save time in a bottle, The first thing that I’d like to do, Is to save every day ’til “eternity passes away Just to spend them with you”
Peggy passed away at the age of 65 on June 12th, 2025. She bravely navigated life for many years with MS; her loving husband, Dave Curthoys by her side.
Peggy, born April 8th, 1960, was cherished daughter to Ed and Eva Unreiner. Big sister to Cathy (Drew Drinnan), Maureen (Guy Woelfle) and Mary-Jane (Ed Templeton).
Peggy was proud Aunt to Leigh, Jocelyn, Angela, Nicole, Grace and Lloyd. She was also a loving cousin, niece, friend and sister-in-law to her Canadian and British families. Peggy was so happy to meet her Curthoys family in person on a trip to the UK.

From an early age Peggy loved to read, and her love of the library became her profession. She became a library technician at SAIT and then went on to work at school libraries. She finished her career with Shortgrass Library Systems in acquisition’s.
Peggy’s philosophy in life was to live and let live. She also knew how to live in the moment, carrying herself through both the good and challenging times, with grace and acceptance.
Peggy loved driving! The freedom of it she’d say. Think of her when on a drive. Better yet drop by a library or bookstore. She was a passionate advocate of no banned books but would be thrilled if everyone sat down with a cat on their lap and read an Agatha Christie mystery!
Dave and family thank her care team who with their assistance and loving care until June 9th, 2025, enabled Peggy to stay in her beloved home with her Dave and cat (George). The family will mourn our tremendous loss and celebrate Peggy’s life with a private gathering.
