OSCAR WILSON
OSCAR WILSON 1949 ~ 2025 Oscar Lloyd Wilson passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at the age of 76 years.
Oscar was raised in Richmound, Saskatchewan, and resided in Medicine Hat for most of his life. He maintained the family farm in Richmound for many years and was also an Oil Field Supervisor with North Canadian Oil.
Oscar was predeceased by his beloved wife, Donna Marie Wilson (nee Johnson), and is survived by his stepson Vincent Thane, Vincent’s wife Esther, and their children Olivia and Matthias. Oscar will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by his extended family and the many friends who knew and cared for him.
Please join us to celebrate Oscar’s life over lunch at Ralph’s Texas Bar and Grill on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. All are welcome to come and share stories, laughter, and memories. A private interment will take place.

Ann Aurora Mary Sekura, beloved wife of the late Frank Sekura, passed away in Lethbridge on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at the age of 76 years.

Ann is survived by her children Jason (Roxanne) Sekura of High River, Jim (Jodene) Sekura of Taber, Chris Sekura of Taber and Rob (Charlene) Sekura of High River; grandchildren Ethan, Gracyn and Emmit Sekura of High River; Ashley, Maddison and Blake Sekura of Australia; Paige Sekura of High River. She is also survived by sisters-in-law Sieglinde Leeb and sister-in-law Rose Leeb; brother-in-law Eric Matthiessen and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Frank Sekura; parents Anselm and Teresia Leeb; brothers John and Alex Leeb; sister Mary Matthiessen.
Ann was born in Lüneburg, Germany, and at only a few months old, moved with her parents to Canada, settling on a farm near Lancer, Saskatchewan. In 1951, the family relocated to Medicine Hat, where Ann spent her childhood and later graduated from McCoy High School.
After graduation, Ann lived and worked in Medicine Hat, Calgary and Banff, holding various jobs and enjoying the independence and experience those years brought. In November 1969, she married Frank Sekura of Taber. Together, they made their home on the farm east of Taber, where they raised their four sons.
Ann’s life was defined by her deep love and support for her family. She spent countless hours driving to practices, games and tournaments, sitting in many hockey rinks offering quiet encouragement, and contributing behind the scenes to numerous theatre productions.
She worked as a travel agent in Taber, a role that perfectly matched her love of travel and helping others. Ann traveled to many countries throughout her life, collecting memories and stories that she treasured and would often share.
Ann found immense joy in her grandchildren, delighting in their stories, milestones and achievements. Nothing made her smile more than hearing about their accomplishments and watching them grow.
Her quiet kindness, deep compassion and constant concern for others touched everyone who knew her. Ann’s gentle presence and thoughtful spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of having her in their lives.

The family would like to extend their deepest thanks to all the health care professionals in Lethbridge and Taber who provided compassionate care for mom throughout her journey. MATILDA SCHLINKER
MATILDA SCHLINKER 1932 ~ 2025 Matilda passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 21, 2025. Her life was honoured through a celebration held on Friday, May 23, 2025, in Medicine Hat. She was born on January 15, 1932, in Indian Head, Saskatchewan, a few minutes after her twin sister, Agnes, and a surprise to her parents, Margaret and Andrew Giesinger. She was predeceased by her parents; daughter, Janet Schlinker and her siblings, Agnes (Frank) Hopfauf, Edmund Giesinger and Albert Giesinger. Matti will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by Ralph, her husband of 72 years; her children, Donna (Chris) Massini, Linda (Eldon) Barrand, Dave (Joanne) Schlinker, Nancy (Brent) Stegweit, Jim (Hermie) Schlinker and Paula (Todd) Schlinker. She was cherished by her 11 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren as well as her many nieces, nephews and their families. Matti enjoyed sewing, gardening and baking for her family and friends. She was an avid reader, crossword enthusiast and competitive cribbage player. Matti cherished the many friendships she made throughout her lifetime. The strength of her family is a testament to the unwavering love and dedication she gave them throughout her life. DARLENE LONGWORTH
DARLENE LONGWORTH February 23, 1938 ~ May 21, 2025
On Wednesday, May 21, 2025, Darlene Angela Constance Longworth passed away peacefully at the age of 87 years, surrounded by her loving family. Her warmth, humour and strength touched everyone who knew her.
Darlene was predeceased by her parents, Emil and Alma “Toots” Lautermilch; her brother, Murray and his wife, Audrey.
Darlene is survived by her devoted husband, Alfred “Allan” Longworth; her children, Bradley and Raelynn (Lloyd); her cherished grandchildren, Kaylee and Hayden and their father, Jeff as well as her beloved sister, Bonnie (Paul) Rocher. She was a guiding light in their lives – funny, kind, endlessly strong and always ready with a smile or a quick remark to lift their spirits.
Darlene was born on February 23, 1938, in Woodrow, Saskatchewan. After high school, she moved to Regina where she completed postsecondary studies before working for Dr. Bradley. She married Allan Longworth on July 9, 1960, and they started their family in 1963. They spent many joyous years traveling, with trips to Disneyland, Florida, Hawaii and Europe. After retirement, they enjoyed several months each year in Mesa, Arizona with her sister and brother-in-law and other close friends.
Darlene had an incredible gift for seeing the good in everything and everyone and her positive outlook was contagious. She had a passion for cooking and baking and could always be found in the kitchen preparing a favourite family dish or treat. Darlene was also an avid gardener, with a special talent for flowers – there wasn’t a bloom she didn’t know or love.
Darlene’s legacy is one of joy, love and resilience. Her laughter, stories and presence will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
