CHERYL MORINE
1954 ~ CHERYL MORINE ~ 2025 It is with profound sadness that the families of Cheryl (Rohatyn) Morine announce her sudden passing due to cancer on April 3, 2025, in Medicine Hat, Alberta. She is lovingly remembered by her partner Glenn Collins of 27 years. Cheryl is survived by her bonus son, Shawn (Shondell) Collins; brothers, Melvin (Collen Kerr) Rohatyn and Russell Rohatyn; sister Donna (Terry) Gilroy; brothers-in-law, Donald (Linda) Collins, Ronald Collins, and Michael (Marlys) Collins; sisters-in-law, Mary Ellen (Stan) Weishaar, Pauline Collins, Isobel (Patrick) Pukas, and Patsy (Glenn) Moss; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles. She was predeceased by her parents; Lorraine and Steve Rohatyn; husband, Roland Morine; sister-in-law, Sandra Rohatyn (Stang); brother-in-law, Harvey Collins; sister-in-law, Francis Collins; as well as grandparents, in-laws, and dear friends. Cheryl was raised in Bienfait, Saskatchewan, and graduated from Estevan Comprehensive High School in 1972. Following graduation, she moved to Regina, where she attended business school. After completion, she held many administrative positions, her favorite being working for Dr. Lloyd Barber at the University of Regina and the Estevan Courthouse. Cheryl had many gifts, passions, and pastimes. She was a true farm girl at heart, loving animals, gardening, and spending time outdoors. Most recently, Cheryl and Glenn enjoyed camping with their dog Juno. Cheryl was also active in the golf and curling leagues, where she made many friends. Cheryl’s spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. A special thank you to the physicians and nursing staff at 4 West, the nursing staff of St. Joseph’s Hospital, and to Dr. Jonker. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 30th, 2025 at Saamis Memorial Funeral Chapel at 2:00 pm. FELIX HOLUBOWICH
FELIX HOLUBOWICH Oct. 8, 1934 ~ May 24, 2025 Felix Holubowich, beloved husband of 58 years to Eileen, passed away in Medicine Hat on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at the age of 90 years. Along with Eileen, Felix leaves behind many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 11 siblings and by his step-son, Donald. Felix was born the 12th child of Joseph and Mary Holubowich (nee Diduck). He was a hard worker and enjoyed working as a millwright in upper Fraser, BC. Felix’s favourite past times included fishing and camping. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Parish, 1451 Strachan Road S.E., Medicine Hat on Monday, June 2, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. with Father Iqbal Khurshid celebrant. MONICA LORI LANZ
MONICA LORI LANZ April 15, 1967 – May 23, 2025 Loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother. Monica is survived by her parents Donald and Beverly McHugh; siblings, Sheila (Bill), Michelle, Brian; husband, Ron (as well as Smokey and Gail Lanz); children, Hayley (Ty) and Reid (Kyla); grandchildren, Kayson and Maysen; as well as multiple nieces and nephews.
Monica will always be remembered for her deep love of gardening and all things in nature which she shared and passed on to her children. She will also be remembered for how creative and crafty she was making anything she found outside into something beautiful to share with her family and friends.
She was a dedicated Grandma to Kayson and Maysen who brought her the greatest joy.
In lieu of flowers, please consider planting a plant in your garden or visiting the butterfly house where Monica lovingly dedicated so much of her time making it beautiful. Anytime you see a butterfly or dragonfly or hear a bird sing, know it is Monica saying hello.
A private celebration will be held May 31, 2025, to honour Monica’s life and beautiful soul.
