ALAN WRIGHT

ALAN WRIGHT 1955 – 2024 Alan Francis Wright, passed away in Medicine Hat on Monday, November 25, 2024 at the age of 69 years.
The Funeral Service will be held at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 – 48 Avenue, Taber on Friday, May 16, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. with Life Celebrant Shelly Dawn officiating. Burial to follow at the Taber Memorial Garden. The family requests that you wear something blue, as this was Alan’s favorite color.

MARILYNN NEWFELD

MARILYNN NEWFELD November 2, 1940 ~ April 24, 2025 It is with sadness we announce the sudden passing of Marilynn Newfeld (Sheuer) at the age of 84 years. She is survived by her daughter, Cyrie Pinguet (Chris); stepson, Wade Newfeld (Sharon); and sister, Joy Osgood. Also survived by her grandchildren, Josh Parker (Amanda), Alexandra Clarke (Andy), Bo Newfeld (Kailyn), and Mistylee Hatch (David). She also leaves behind her beautiful great grandchildren, Sydney Parker, Ally Parker, Eleana Clarke, and step great grandchildren, Elias and Alexis Hatch. Also left to mourn her passing is her beloved fur baby, “Daisy” whom she cherished. Her heart is broken too. Marilynn was predeceased by her husband, Ken Newfeld; son, Jeff Newfeld, and stepson, Dean Newfeld. She was also predeceased by her parents, Ed and Tillie Sheuer. Marilynn married Ken Newfeld in 1975 and moved to Calgary in 1984 where they were proud owners of Take A Break catering. After Ken’s death in 2003, Marilynn continued living in Calgary but returned to Medicine Hat in 2020 where she became a resident at Masterpiece until her passing. The Memorial service will be held at Saamis Memorial Funeral Chapel, 1 Dunmore Road SE, Medicine Hat, AB on Friday May 16, 2025, at 1:30 pm with Pastor Shane Hein officiating. ALAN BERGEN August 21, 1946 ~ May 7, 2025
It is with the heaviest of hearts that the family of Alan Richard Bergen, beloved husband of the late Marie-France Bergen, announce his passing at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at th age of 78 years.
Alan dedicated his life to the service of others, working as a veterinarian for 50 years. His deep love for animals and tireless commitment to their care earned him the respect and admiration of both his peers and clients. Equally committed to his community, Alan was a proud and active member of the Lions Club for 50 years, always ready to lend a hand and support a cause greater than himself.
A man of remarkable strength both physically and mentally Alan was known for his strong work ethic, resilience and boundless generosity. He faced every challenge with determination and every opportunity with kindness. He had a warm heart, a sharp wit, and a great sense of humor that brought joy to those lucky enough to know him.
Alan cherished his family above all. He is survived by his devoted children, Angela and Nicholas and by his beloved grandson, Nash, who brought immeasurable joy to his life. Alan will also be deeply missed by his sisters: Barbara (and her late husband Frank), Marietta (Ben) and Alvina (Stephen). His extended family, friends, and community will forever remember him as a pillar of strength, compassion and love.
Alan will be silently remembered by family and friends without the proceedings of a formal service. JEAN COX 1930 ~ 2025 Jean Marguerite Cox of Medicine Hat, beloved wife of the late John William “Bill” Cox, passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at the age of 94 years. She leaves to cherish her memory two children, Brenton (Sylvia) Cox and Meredith (Lorne) Knodel; six grandchildren, Dawson (Katrina) Knodel, Chris (Traci) Knodel, Denver (Julie) Knodel, Thaler (Kathryn) Knodel, Jillian (Bryant) Munton and Natalie Cox; eleven great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Bill on December 7, 2011, her parents Mary and Amsey Frey and her sister Grayce Nash. Bill and Jean moved to Medicine Hat in 1982 where he served as the Pastor at Hillcrest Church until 1992. JACQUELINE JESSKE April 15, 1953 May 5, 2025 It is with a heavy heart that I, David Jesske, announce the passing of my precious wife of 50 years, Jacquie Jesske, on Monday May 5, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer, at the age of 72 years.
She leaves to cherish her memory her son Kevin (Alison) Jesske; her grandchildren, Colby (Shaylin) Jesske, Haylie Jesske (Ethan Parson) and Travis Tewsley; great grandchildren Avery Johnson and Sienna Jesske; her family Gordon (Val) Stodolka, Joanne (Mike) Tuchscherer, Wayne (Linda) Stodolka, Bev (Ross) Statham, Hope Jesske, Allan (Nancy) Jesske, Bonnie Haas, Lottie (Chris) Warren-Williams, Kim (Gary) Franz, Neil (Kathleen) Jesske, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Jacquie was predeceased by her parents Ken and Phyllis Stodolka, David’s parents Edwin and Ruth Jesske and her brother-in-law Wade Haas.
