FLORA OGILVIE
1923 – Flora Ogilvie – 2025 Flora McL. Ogilvie nee Stratton passed away on Friday, February 14, 2025. Flora was born on January 2, 1923. She was the adoring wife of Stanley Roy Ogilvie, who predeceased her in 1992. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Derris McLean Ogilvie Davies (Fred A. Davies) of Eldorado, Ontario; daughter-in-law, Heather of Edmonton; grandchildren, Mora Judy (Daryl) and Brian Ogilvie (Karen); great-grandchildren, Kyle and Ryan Judy and Madelin, Mallory and Josh Ogilvie. Flora was predeceased by her beloved husband and son, Charles James Ogilvie. Flora began teaching school in Bowell in 1943, using a mule wagon for transport. She married Roy Ogilvie in 1945. After a ten-year hiatus, she began teaching grade 2 in 1955 at Isobel Cox Primary School in Redcliff, where she spent the last 14 years as vice principal and librarian. She commented on her teaching experience at her retirement: “One must teach with love, for it is a part of discipline, and discipline is security in an uncertain world. One must deal differently with each child individually, for all little ones are very precious. Flora, also known to family and friends as Scotty, was born and raised in Redcliff and was very active in Gordon Memorial church. She will be interred in the Redcliff cemetery alongside her husband. TRACY SEIFRIED
1961 – Tracy Seifried – 2025 It is with deep sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Tracy Daniel Seifried on February 12, 2025, at the age of 58 years. He was a beloved son, brother, and uncle. Tracy is survived by his parents, Emma and Gunther Seifried and his sister, Laurie Hickey (nee Seifried). He loved camping, fishing, and rocking out to Kiss with an ice-cold beer. A lifelong Hatter, he recently retired after many years working for Goodyear. He is pre-deceased by his best friend and very good boy, Dewy. There will be no formal service at this time.
