LUCIENNE TAYLOR

1940 – LUCIENNE TAYLOR – 2024 It is with great sadness that Karen and Donna announce the passing of their mother, Lucy Taylor (Lucienne Perron), in Medicine Hat, Alberta, on November 20, 2024, after years of living with the challenges of Alzheimer’s. Lucy leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 63 years, Melvin; her daughters, Karen (Donald) and Donna (Douglas); her grandchildren, Madison (Blake), Michael (Tianna), and Eric; her sister, Margaret and her brother, Albert. Lucy loved spending time with her family; taking care of her home; cooking new recipes from her massive cookbook collection; clogging with the Rocky Mountain Cloggers; square dancing with Art & Margaret; traveling with Ian & Shirley; building with Ben & Pete; and thrift-shopping or walking with her girls. To the very end, Lucy loved singing hymns and lived out her faith by demonstrating patience, peacefulness, gratitude and love for others. Lucy was a joyful person who brought light wherever she went. Throughout the years, Lucy devoted her time and talents to creating special memories with her loved ones – especially at Christmas, Easter, and Hallowe’en. She was “our sunshine”. On her last Sunday, as momma listened in, Melvin, Karen, Donna, residents, HCAs, nurses, housekeeping and maintenance came and went from Room #75, celebrating Lucy’s life by telling stories, singing, and enjoying many laughs. We thank Dr. Monty and all the staff at Sunnyview for their patience and care of our nimble and mighty Lucy-Loo. Interment will take place at a later date. Condolences may be sent through http://www.saamis.com or to condolences@saamis.com subject heading Lucienne Taylor. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to
