ALEX JOSEPH KOCH
ALEX JOSEPH KOCH November 19th, 1948 November 16th, 2024 Mr. Alex Koch of Medicine Hat, beloved husband of Valerie Koch, passed away on November 16th, 2024, at the age of 75 years. He leaves to cherish his memory his three children, Carmela Koch, Pamela (Rob) Hamilton, Ryan Koch; three grandchildren, Kayla, Brok and Kayeesha. Alex was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Emily Koch and his twin brother, Ronald Koch.
Alex was born on November 19th, 1948, at the Medicine Hat Hospital. On July 20th, 1974, Alex married Valerie Ann Hill and together with their family, they lived in various towns throughout Saskatchewan and Alberta. Alex enjoyed playing crib, listening to 94.5 CHAT and a cold beer in his coffee cup.

EARNE ONOFERYCHUK 1945 ~ 2024
Earne Onoferychuk departed this life on Saturday, November 16, at the age of 79 years. He was a kind and humble man, beloved of all who knew him. Earnewas a loving husband to Maggy, married on July 3, 1968. He was loved by his children: Julie (Brock) Chambers, Erin Onoferychuk, Roderick (Michiyo)Onoferychuk, and Marny Onoferychuk (Rob). He was adored by his grandchildren: Whitney Loerzel (Chris), Kevin Onoferychuk, Justin Onoferychuk,Stephanie Onoferychuk (Zachary), Jocelyn Lawrence, and Nikita Onoferychuk. He will also be remembered by numerous other relatives in his family andMaggy’s. Earne was predeceased by his parents, Metro and Mary Onofrychuk; fivesiblings and their spouses: Rose and Nick Twerdohlib, Lillian and Bill Shmyr,Janice and Dave Sollows, Raymond and Emmie Onofrychuk, Eva McLean, and AndyFex.Earne was a pilot and aircraft maintenance engineer, first earning his pilot’slicense at age 17. He was well known in BC, Northern Saskatchewan,and the Yukon Territory. His wife thought of him as being a legend,although he would never have said that of himself. Earne was a legend in another sense, and children of all ages recognized himall year round, with or without a red suit. Maggy says she never believed in Santa Claus until the day she discovered she was married tohim. His grandchildren and many other children were sure they had met the”real” Santa, with his lovely round tummy and white beard. 1933 ~ MARTHA FALKENBERG ~ 2024 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Martha Falkenberg, who left this world on November 18, 2024, inMedicine Hat, Alberta. Born in Friedenfeld, Ukraine, Martha was a cherished soul who dedicated her life to her family and community. Martha was the beloved daughter of George and Lydia Allerdings. She is preceded in death by herparents; her dear husband, Alfred Falkenberg; and her daughter, Imgard, whopassed away in infancy. Martha also mourns the loss of her son-in-law, Don Koch;her sister, Agathe (Ed) Claussen and her brothers, John, Jakob, and GeorgeAllerdings. In life, Martha was the heart of her family, a loving mother who issurvived by her children, Art (Margie) Falkenberg, Ingrid Koch, and Peter(Lois) Falkenberg. Her legacy lives on through her grandchildren, who broughther immense joy, Melissa Falkenberg, Michelle (James) Lindsay, Cameron(Stephanie) Koch, Julie (Alicia) Koch, Dallas (Darren) Wagner, Chad (Kimberley)Falkenberg, and Joel (Sarah) Falkenberg. Furthermore, Martha was a proudgreat-grandmother to Oliver, Benjamin, Jordan, Hayden, Jonah, Lyndon, Peyton,Charlie, Nicholas, Jacob, Paige, Markus, Violet, and Oscar. She also leavesbehind her sisters-in-law, Erna and Lilli Allerdings, as well as numerous nieces and nephews who will forever remember her warmth and kindness. Martha’s life was rich with passions and interests. She was an avid baker, renowned forher exquisite Black Forest cakes and delectable strudels. Her love for gardening was evident in her beautiful flower garden, which she tended withcare and dedication. A true lover of travel, Martha delighted in adventures toplaces like Mexico “Miss Mexico”, Jamaica, and Germany, often recounting her treasured experiences with a sparkle in her eye. In addition to her culinarytalents and her green thumb, Martha was known for her generosity of spirit. She volunteered her time and talents to various organizations, always seeking waysto give back to her community. Her infectious love for ice cream was a smallbut delightful part of her personality, bringing smiles to those around her.Martha was not just a mother or a grandmother; she was the glue that held herfamily together. Always there to lend a hand or an ear, she made everyone feelloved and valued. Her unwavering support and lively spirit will be deeplymissed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
