REG ZACHAR

REG ZACHAR
It is with the heaviest of hearts the family of Reginald Michael Zachar, announce his peaceful passing while at the Medicine Hat Care Community on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at the age of 70 years. Left to remember Reg are his children, Michael, David and Mandy (Steffen); grandchildren, Kaylee and Caleb; sisters, Val (Dan), Chris (Terry) and Cynthia (Rob) as well as their families. He was predeceased by his father, Michael; mother, Mary and step-dad, David. Reg was born on August 7, 1954, in Peace River, Alberta. Reg had a long career as a welder and owned his own company, Magnum Welding. He had a lifelong love for his Harley, Chevy trucks and his prized ’69 Camaro. Reg could often be found down at the track or riding down the road to Sturgis. He loved the roar of engines and the thrill of the ride on the open road. Reg enjoyed playing darts and having drinks with friends at the Doghouse where his laughter and competitive spirit will be missed. He had a special bond with his dog, Jax, who was always by his side and ready for a game of catch with his ball. But above all, Reg was a devoted family man. Papa could always be counted on when something needed to be built or fixed. He loved all the children in his life, and cherished every moment with them whether it was carving pumpkins at Halloween or building lego on Christmas Day. Reg will be forever missed by all. A Celebration of Reg’s life will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street SW, Medicine Hat on Friday, November 1, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Murray Jaster officiating.
