DENNIS FRANCIS SCOTT 14 SEPTEMBER 1941 – 31 AUGUST 2024
Peacefully and surrounded by his family, Dad passed away on Saturday, August 31,2024 at the age of 82 years.
Dad will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 57 years, Diane; children: Darren(Diana), Donald (Sarah) and Cathy (Mike); grandchildren: Andrea(Kyle), Catherine(Elder), Des(Brianna), Drake, Kaitlyn, and Taylor; great grandchildren: Jade(Nick), Rhianna, Mataeya, Luka, Madison; great-great Grandchild: Lovina; sister: Catherine Gentile; Brother: Norris Scott; as well as his Restore friends and others.
Dennis is predeceased by his mother, Rita Brown, and Great Grandsons: Dylan and Anthony.
He was extremely proud of his 33-year Canadian Armed Forces career in the Army Branch. He was also proud of his 10 years of volunteering at the Medicine Hat ReStore.
A visitation was held at Sands Funeral Chapel-Colwood, 317 Goldstream Ave., Colwood, BC, on Sunday, September8, 2024 at 12 noon with a Celebration of Life following at 2:00pm.

THOMAS “TOM” GALONSKI September 4th, 1940 – September 5th, 2024
Tom Galonski, beloved husband of Mrs. Marlene Galonski, passed away in hospital, September 5, 2024, at the age of 84 years. Besides his loving wife, Tom is survived by his family; sisters, Marion Bleile and Frances Nickel – Medicine Hat, Alberta; children and stepchildren, JoAnne (Dan) Dick – Oyen, Alberta, Margie (Gordon) Hynes – Burlingon, Ontario, Marcy Leigh (Grant Lawton) – Calgary, Alberta, Brad Handsaeme – Edmonton, Alberta, daughter-in-law Pat Enns – Redcliff, Alberta and daughter-in-law Brenda – Calgary, Alberta; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Tom was predeceased by his parents, Ted and Freda Galonski; late wife, Margaret; sons, Donald and David Galonski; and sister, Connie Galonski.
Tom was born and lived his life in Medicine Hat, Alberta. After his wife Margaret’s passing, he was reacquainted with Marlene, whom he knew in earlier years as a friend of his sister’s. They married in 1983. Their marriage expanded their family with Marlene’s children, Marcy and Brad. Tom had a heart of an explorer and loved to drive wherever his vehicle would take him and his family. There were many road trips to Elkwater and to the mountains for camping, hiking and picnics. He was a member of the Medicine Hat Police Service for twenty-five years and received the Police Exemplary Service Medal in 1987. Tom was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion #17. He enjoyed fishing, playing pool, cribbage and darts.

BEVERLY “DIANE” MACPHERSON June 17th, 1958 – September 6th, 2024
Diane MacPherson passed away peacefully on September 6th, 2024, at the age of 66 years. She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Joseph Lemaire; daughter, Amanda MacPherson; grandchild, Austin MacPherson; seven brothers; seven sisters; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Diane is predeceased by her parents, Charles and Mildred MacPherson; sister, Nancy.
Diane was born and raised in Nova Scotia and moved to Medicine Hat. She was a part of the dart community and loved playing bingo. Diane served at the Legion as a cook for many years.

BLAKE PALMER 1977 ~ 2024
Blake John Harrington Palmer passed away peacefully with family by his side on September 8, 2024. He is survived by his father, Marshall Palmer, and his step-mother, Gayle; sister, Meara Palmer, and nephew, Coen; sister, Polly Sue (Tim) Colwell and nephews, Matthew and Liam and, niece Lydia; his brother, Robert Palmer; as well as numerous friends and their children, whom he considered family in every regard. Blake was raised in Medicine Hat, Alberta, and chose architecture as his career. He attended Montana State University (Bozeman), where he received his Master’s in architecture and graduated with Honours. Blake loved to learn and received many accolades including the Tau Sigma Delta Medal, Outstanding Thesis Award, Critical Regionalism Competition (2nd place), and he obtained his Sustainable Building Advisor certification (SBA). Blake was a kind and caring person. Family and friends were of the utmost importance to him. Blake was artistic and creative, and he loved a challenge. His adventurous spirit took him across Canada on his bicycle, hiking, snowboarding, fire dancing, and spreading positivity wherever he travelled. He could usually be found at the Frisbee golf course “training for the Olympics”. Sincere thanks and deep appreciation for the help, caring, and kindness expressed to us by family, friends, neighbours, and healthcare workers during his struggle with cancer. The Memorial Service will be held at Saamis Memorial Funeral Chapel, 1 Dunmore Road SE, Medicine Hat, AB, on Wednesday, September 11th, 2024, at 4:00 pm with Rev. Dave Pollard officiating. It is with deep sadness, the family announces the peaceful passing of Lucille Marie Alberta McFadyen (Hyde) of Medicine Hat. Lucille is survived by her husband of 52 years, Larry; her siblings Jean Hyde (Val), Gerald Hyde, Geraldine Gervais (Edward), Rosemarie Gannon (Archie), sisters-in-law Helen of Swift Current and Helen of Saskatoon, Mavis McFadyen and all their families. She was predeceased by her parents Rollande and Harold Hyde; brothers Joseph and Maurice, her in-laws Daniel and Alaine McFadyen; brothers-in-law Ian McFadyen and Lane McFadyen; sister-in-law Patricia Stuart and brother-in-law Wally Stuart. Lucille was born on December 18, 1944, in Moosomin to Harold and Rollande Hyde, the eldest of seven children. On December 2, 1972, Lucille married Larry McFadyen; in her words – her rock. Married life began in Wapella, Saskatchewan then moving to Medicine Hat in 1984. In their 52 years together, they travelled to 120 Communities across Saskatchewan, Alberta and New Brunswick while Larry worked on the pipeline, retiring in 2009. They enjoyed spending time with family, special friends Val and Ken Holderbein, Cary and Dennis Schlemko, Dwayne Cartwright and their families. They attended and enjoyed daily coffee row and monthly birthday suppers. A special thanks to the doctors and nursing staff on 4 west at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital for the great care of Lucille. The funeral mass will be celebrated in Holy Family Parish (1451 Strachan Road SE) on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. with Fr. Myles Gaffney Celebrant. Cameron Wade Schorr, 54, passed away at his home in Medicine Hat on August 27, 2024, from complications related to his struggle with alcohol addiction.
Cam is survived by his children Logan and Ciel Schorr, their mom Kelly Schorr, siblings Doug Schorr and Sister Carrie (Ken) Lepp. In-Law’s Paul and Evelyn Neilson, Sister-in-Law’s Kirstie Radel – Nielson, Taylor (Steve) Bueckert, and brother-in-law Scott (Michelle) Hagen, his first wife Michelle Goertzen, and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents Vern and Florence Schorr, his significant other Ralanda Murphy, and his mother-in-law, Elaine Hagen.
