Shirley was born in Cadillac, Saskatchewan and grew up on the farm with four brothers and two sisters where she learned values of hard work and a strong family bond. She loved family gatherings that usually included a good sing-song (often with her at the piano) and a rousing game of penny-ante poker. Shirley was predeceased by her husband Bob in 2004, son Brian in 2022 and daughter-in-law Dale in 2015.
The family would like to thank the amazing staff at Meadowlands as well as the outstanding medical team that looked after her in hospital: Dr. Paul Parksand the Emergency staff, Dr. Darren Holland and the ICU staff and Dr. Cathy Horsman, who went above and beyond with her care and concern over the years.
