VIRGINIA MACKAY

VIRGINIA MACKAY
November 18th, 1930 April 22nd, 2024 The family of Virginia Mackay announce with great sadness, her peaceful passing on April 22nd, 2024, at the age of 93.Virginia is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 74 years, Dale Mackay; 6 children, Glen (Pat), Lynn Ann (Doug), Gail (Marv), Sharon, Kim and Debbie (Terry); 11 grandkids; 23 great grandkids and 9 great great grandkids.
Virginia was predeceased by her mother; father; sister; brother; son, Colin; infant daughter, Teresa and granddaughter, Marceya.
Dale and Ginny married on February 27th, 1950, and raised 7 kids while both working full time jobs. She worked and retired from Dom Glass in 1985 then sold Nevada tickets at the Redcliff Legion. They loved to travel with family but spent some winters down in Yuma as well until the exchange rate changed their plans. They spent a lot of time camping and travelling while they could. Every one of their family members have so many memories of her doing exactly what she loved to do….looking after everyone else’s needs with a smile.
She was always in such good health that we thought nothing could slow her down. She was still going for breakfast at IHOP, coffee at the mall and then the casino right up until last year. We would like to give a huge thank you to Dr. Faul in MHRH and all the girls at St. Joseph’s Carmel Hospice as well as Grace Memorial. There are many of you that gave the best care to Virginia. Just know we all appreciate it so much.
As per Virginia’s wishes, there will be no funeral held. Arrangements are made by
