MARGARET CHASE
MARGARET CHASE 1940 ~ 2024 Mrs. Margaret Lindsay Chase (nee Klock), beloved wife of Cecil, passed away at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at the age of 84 years. In a world troubled by divisiveness, war, and unrest, we all might try to be a little more like Margaret. Be sure you kiss someone goodnight, show gratitude and tell them you love them, no matter how hard the day. And then, like her, you’ll make it incredibly damn difficult for friends and family to think of a world without you in it. Dignified cremation has taken place. Her memory will be cherished without the proceedings of a formal funeral service. To read all about Margaret’s beautiful life or to offer condolences to the family, please visit our website at

She was a member of the church choir and C.W.L. for many years and prayer was an important part of her day. She enjoyed hosting friends and family whether it was for a meal, coffee and dessert or an evening of card playing. She was remembered by all for her special tortes and baked goods. Her recipes and techniques for making apple hand pies, strudels and knepfle were passed on to her daughters and granddaughters. Lydia was quick with a smile and warm and friendly to everyone she met. Her love of animals showed when her families visited with their fur babies and she made sure to have pet treats on hand for all of them. Her family would like to thank Dr. Jeraj and all the staff at Good Samaritans Village for taking care of Mom with such compassion, kindness and gentleness enabling her to keep her dignity.
