LINCOLN NORMAN BOHONOS

LINCOLN NORMAN BOHONOS

September 21, 1957 January 3, 2024

It is with broken hearts the family of Lincoln Norman Bohonos announce his passing on January 3, 2024, at the age of 66 years after a 2-year battle with lymphoma. Lincoln is survived by the love of his life, Jo-Anne Bohonos, and their three children; Ashley Bohonos (Mark, Jackson & Kaleb Fisher), Megan Cross (Travis, Brinley & Everley) and Mitchell Bohonos (Ashley Magis, Brooklyn & Carter Bohonos); his mother, Margaret Bohonos; sister, Leslie (Terry) Jones and family; mother-in-law Eileen Shkwarok; and sister-in-law, Sherry (Steven) Martindale and family. Lincoln was predeceased by his father, Norman Bohonos; his father-in-law Bill, Shkwarok; and his beloved four-legged friend, Gemmies
Lincoln was born in St. Boniface, Manitoba on September 21, 1957, and moved many times as a child before settling in Cranbrook, BC, where he met Jo-Anne and thus began their 48 years together. His thick build and monstrous calves helped him excel at all sports; skiing, swimming, football, and rugby to name a few. Lincoln and Jo-Anne moved their family to Medicine Hat in 1987 for his job at CP Rail where he was known to be the hardest working employee by both his family and co-workers. In 2017, Lincoln retired to take his long-deserved summer holidays and never looked back.
Lincoln will be remembered for many things, including his love of the Seattle Seahawks, wearing shorts year-round, listening to good music, drinking jugs of paralyzers, sunglasses – even inside, telling long stories, his cool jeep, his big heart and so much more. Most of all, Lincoln will be remembered as a man who loved and adored his family. His wife, kids and grandkids were his pride and joy. He will be greatly missed by them all.
At Lincoln’s request, a funeral service will not be held. The family wishes to thank the many doctors and nurses who helped care for Dad as he battled cancer. Your kindness was greatly appreciated.
In memory of Lincoln, please make a donation to the Medicine Hat SPCA (https://medhatspca.ca), APARC (https://www.aparc.ca) or the Margery E. Yuill Cancer Centre.
