MARGARET (JULIE) JULIETTE BONERT

Margaret (Julie) Juliette Bonertz Margaret (Julie) Juliette Bonertz was born on December 10 1961 to parents Anton and Joanne Lintner in Calgary AB. She passed on November 29 2023 in Calgary AB at the age of 61.
She is survived by her mother Joanne, brother Cy (Darryl), sisters Anne (Bernie), Joanne (Ray), Erica (Ron), and children Michael, Jesse and Amanda.
Julie was preceded in death by her father Anton, stepfather Jim and brother Anton (Bob).
Julie lived in Medicine Hat for most of her adult life and shared her love of children by working in childcare as well as raising her own three with her former spouse.
Julie loved animals, had many dogs throughout her life, volunteered at the Medicine Hat SPCA and had a passion for writing (Medicine Hat Writers Club)..
She spread joy and happiness wherever she went. She was a beautiful person and beloved mother, daughter and sister. She will be missed and remembered by all who knew and loved her.

HILTON GEORGE BEACH

HILTON GEORGE BEACH January 27th, 1938 – December 17th, 2023
Hilton Beach passed away on December 17th, 2023, at the age of 85 years. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Diane Beach; sons, David (Brenda) Beach, Darren (Tracy Sterling) Beach and Trevor Beach; daughter, Lyndell Beach; grandchildren, Jenna (Chance) Burges, Ian Beach, Kolbi Beach (Madison Andrus), Reid Beach (Logan Gechter), Ryan Schibler (Ashley McDougall), Jennifer Schibler (Dustin Schulte), Erik Beach (Claira Callon) and Katelyn Beach; brother, Jack (Marlene) Beach; sister, Dr. Judy Beach; great grandchildren, Charley & Hailey Schulte.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, December 22nd, 2023, at 1:30pm at St. John’s Presbyterian Church with Rev. Jeff Lackie officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in Hilton’s memory may be made to St. John’s Presbyterian Church or the Kidney Foundation.

EPHRAIM HAAS

EPHRAIM HAAS 1931 – 2023
Ephraim Haas, at the age of 92 passed away peacefully with family by his side on December 19th, 2023. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Joyce (Dave) McNaughton, Dale (Karen) Haas; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Haas; his grandchildren, Devin (Sheila) McNaughton, Wesley (Norma) Haas, Trevor Haas, Elden (Karen) McNaughton, Daniel (Mareen) Haas, Matthew (Jennifer) Haas, and Rebecca (Robert) Cale; as well as 12 great grandchildren. Ephraim was predeceased by his beloved wife, Alice and his oldest son, Wade Haas.

ELEONOR CHRISTIE

ELEONOR CHRISTIE 1940 – 2023
Eleanor Beth Christie was born in Bateman, Saskatchewan to parents Norman and Florence Austin on February 22, 1940. She passed away peacefully on December 15, 2023, at the age of 83 years, after years of pain. She leaves behind her children Roxanne Gaucher (Dave Harrison), Cherryl (Rob) Jackle, Dan Gaucher (Fay Schmaltz), Michelle Gaucher, Keith (Darilyn) Gaucher and a special step-daughter Shelley (Keith) Mattson. Eleanor had thirteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Norma Frank.
After Teachers College, she accepted a position in Coderre, Saskatchewan to teach eight grades in a one-room schoolhouse. It was here that she met her first husband Denis Gaucher, when he was delivering fuel to the school. After a quick romance, they married and created a family with five children. The family moved to Redcliff in 1973. Denis was killed in a car accident in 1979. Eleanor then married Frank Christie in 1983. He passed away in 1999. Eleanor was also predeceased by her grandson Jack Smith and four siblings.
Eleanor was a fantastic homemaker with superior skills in cooking, sewing, knitting, crocheting, balancing the family budget and organizing huge family get-togethers. She was also very active as a volunteer with the Redcliff Legion; which earned her citizen of the year awards in 2010 and 2014. She is known as a very feisty lady who had a strong sense about the “right” way to do things!
The family would like to thank the wonderful and caring staff at River Ridge who went way above and beyond to make her life the best it could be, we are so grateful.
On Friday, December 22, 2023, a private family graveside service will take place. MARION RASMUSSEN

MARION RASMUSSEN 1949 ~ 2023
Marion Rose Rasmussen passed away on Monday, December 18, 2023, at the age of 74 years, beloved wife of Richard Rasmussen of Medicine Hat. She also leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Michelle Heitman of Lethbridge; her grandson, Travis Worden; her brother, Mike (Leigh-Anna) Anton; two nieces, Seigharra (Danny) Neufeld and their daughter Kynnlei and Cortney (Jason) Dola and their children, Payton and Brant. She was predeceased by her parents, Mathias and Caroline Anton.

Marion and Dick married in 1976, and began a lifelong companionship filled with devoted love and adventure. They enjoyed taking houses and making them into homes with their own special touches. They travelled to many countries and as they got older, snow birded down south where Keno was a favourite pastime of Marion’s. She took great pride in her home where she always welcomed all, was a fantastic cook and baker, and her green thumb produced amazing gardens.

Marion will always be remembered by her kind, giving, gentle soul and will be missed by many.

At Marion’s request, a private time of family remembrance will be held at a later date.
