HATTIE CLARK

HATTIE CLARK 1930 – 2023
Hattie Gloria Clark, our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, cousin and aunt passed away peacefully on November 5 surrounded by loved ones at the age of 93 years. Hattie was born in Medicine Hat on August 21, 1930. In 1951, she married our father and moved to the ranch in Wisdom where all four of their children were raised. She helped on the ranch as much as she could but also played the piano/organ at church, sang in the choir, helped at community and church functions, square danced and loved bowling with her friends. Over her lifetime there were many sewing and knitting projects that others enjoyed wearing. There was always a feast to be had at family get-togethers. Mom and Dad moved to Medicine Hat in 1979. Mom was our family historian and will be greatly missed at our family reunion this coming summer. Mom enjoyed reading history books, putting together puzzles and doing crosswords and Sudoko until her eyesight would not allow her to do those activities without a magnifying glass. Hearing what her grandchildren and great grandchildren were busy doing always brightened her day. Hattie was predeceased by her husband John, her mother, Emma Hogg and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She is survived by daughters Johnene (Clarence) Amulung, Gwen (Brian) McCulloch, and sons Tom (Wanda) and Tim (Carmen), her brother Bob, eleven grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren and another arriving soon.
Special thanks to the staff at Chinook Village and the kind and caring staff at Carmel Hospice who were so wonderful with mom and her loved ones.
A private family time of remembrance will be held. Those who wish to attend virtually are welcome to by visiting pattisonfuneralhome.com – select live streaming, then select the YouTube (arrow).
