HARMEN KRUITBOSCH 1928 ~ 2023
Mr. Harmen Jan Kruitbosch was called Home on Monday, October 9, 2023, at the age of 95 years. Along with his loving wife of 74 years, Hendrika, Harmen is survived by his children, Henry (Sue), Ingrid and Olga (Brad); his grandchildren who will fondly remember their ‘Opa’, Lori, Colton, Sean (Shannon), Curtis (Taylor) and Stephen as well as his three great-grandchildren, Cruz, Roman and Andy. Harmen was predeceased by his daughter, Ann; grandson, Gerrit; parents, Hendrik and Gerritdina; siblings, Trudy, Riet and Fred; as well as his son-in-law, Barry. Harmen was born in Diepenveen, Holland on January 6, 1928. He married the love of his life, Hendrika in 1949, and they immigrated to Canada later that same year. They settled in Taber and then Lethbridge where Henry and Ann were born. They then moved to Richmond, BC., where the twins were born. In 1969, they moved back to sunny Alberta and settled in Medicine Hat. Harmen was a devoted husband, doting father and an active Opa who will be truly missed! A Memorial Celebration of Harmen’s life will be held at the Christian Reformed Church, 300 Primrose Drive S.E., Medicine Hat on Friday, October 13, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. with Chaplain George Koopmans officiating.
