KOLTON FAHSELT
KOLTON “GOOSE” WAYNE FAHSELT March 16th, 2002 September 2nd, 2023
Kolton was known for his antics and humour that he took everywhere he went, his one liners and his sense of humour that truly was his own, he lived and laughed unapologetically at what he thought was funny, offensive or not if he thought it was funny, eventually you would be laughing along with him. Someone said, “he made you laugh whether you wanted to or not”. Kolton had a love of music from a very young age, and it didn’t matter the genre’; Skrillex at a young age would be blasted all the way to 1950’s country, rock and anything he liked at the moment, he knew every lyric like the back of his hand. He could always be found singing and dancing along to any song at any time, being silly and making you laugh, which brought him so much joy. He often rolled into the driveway with the tunes cranked up loud rocking out behind the wheel of his truck. Kolton enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, kayaking, tubing, knee boarding and enjoyed his time with scouts, where he learned all the outdoor skills he could, he enjoyed winter camping trips and the canoeing trips down the river. He tried many sports when he was young from hockey, baseball, soccer, football, ball hockey, bowling and basketball. He loved playing his Harmonica and would often take it with him to share his love of it with others. He loved movies, drawing, art and was hoping to become a tattoo artist and was busy designing tattoos, happily for anyone that asked. He spent countless hours working on his truck, which he loved. He would always happily lend a hand to anyone who asked or take on a project if he could make something for you. Kolton’s mischievous smile was always followed up with a solid laugh!
Kolton attended Southview School from Kindergarten to Grade 4, Crestwood School for Grade 5 and 6, Seven Persons School from Grade 7 to 9, and he graduated from Eagle Butte High School. Continuing to take his Diploma at Olds College as Heavy-Duty Agriculture Technician and he had just begun his career at Palliser Sales Ltd and was enjoying his job and co-workers.
Kolton is survived by his Mother, Annette Fahselt-Andreas; Father, Trevor (Lisa) Fahselt; Sister, Kinlee Fahselt; Brother, Ryder Andreas; Brother, Alex Armitage; Grandparents, Verna Reynolds, Ernie (Sandra) Reynolds, Heather Anne Reynolds, Janice (Hugh) Carleton, Cliff Fahselt, Mervin and Tammie Andreas, Dave and Laura-Lee Grexton; Great Grandpa, Stan Davidge; Uncles and Aunts, Helen (Gerry) Hall, Dora Reynolds, Trent Fahselt, Robert & Tanis Fahselt, Donalee Fahselt, Lee Carleton, Colleen Carleton, Brian Carleton, Sam Grexton, Robert (Patti) Reynolds, Lacey (Jon) Andreas, Chantel (Chris) Andreas, Travis (Pam) Andreas; and numerous cousins. Special Friends, Clayton Gair and Tyler Andreas.
Kolton was predeceased by his Great Grandparents, Earl & Grace Fahselt, Doug & Helen Carleton, Clara Nordquist, Stan Reynolds; Uncles, Wayne Reynolds, Jim Reynolds, Bruce Carleton.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Ralphs Texas Bar and Steak house Saturday, September 16, 2023, from 3-6pm. Those who wish to stick around after and celebrate Kolton’s life are encouraged to. He would want one hell of a Party! Condolences may be made at

AMARA MARIE WELFORD (HELLMAN)
AMARA MARIE WELFORD (HELLMAN) July 7, 1999 ~ September 12, 2023
Amara Marie had a lasting impression on everyone she met. Amara had the amazing ability to make others feel better about themselves and this will be her forever legacy.
With warm embraces from her husband Eric, parents Denise and Chuck and brother Mark, Amara Marie was delivered to her Lord God at 3:42 pm on Tuesday, September 12. Our spunky ginger girl ended her courageous battle with cancer and will be joining her brother Taran and Poppa Gerry in heaven where we know she will be looking down on us always.
Amara’s parents and brother were thrilled to welcome her into their lives on July 7th, 1999. Her vibrant personality was evident from the start. It might come as no surprise that Amara spoke at an early age and made sure she made good use of that sweet voice.
Amara was a fine arts child who loved to perform. She was in her element when she was on stage, whether it be singing, dancing, acting or musical theatre. She received many accolades through yearly Rotary Theatre performances for speech and voice, Royal Academy of Dance in ballet, and the Medicine Hat College Girl’s Choir.
Amara met her high school sweetheart Eric Welford while attending Monsignor McCoy High School. They were joined in holy matrimony in beautiful Cypress Hills, Saskatchewan on October 9, 2021. They resided in Lethbridge, Alberta while attending post secondary schooling. Amara recently graduated with a Bachelor of Education with distinction and a Bachelor of Arts (Drama) with distinction from the University of Lethbridge.
Amara had numerous lifelong friends. Words alone cannot express the comfort and joy each and every one of them provided her. Amara had a very special bond with her leggy labradoodle Lola, who went everywhere Amara went and continued to be her faithful companion right until her passing.
Please join the family for Vigil Prayers (Celebration of Life) at Holy Family Parish, 1451 Strachan Road S.E., Medicine Hat on Friday, September 15, 2023, at 7:00 pm. We welcome your warm stories of Amara during this celebration. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Parish on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at 11 am with Father Iqbal Khurshid celebrant. (Condolences may be expressed by visiting our website at

Ernest Horace Ozem, formerly of Medicine Hat, AB, passed away in Oakville, ON on August 9, 2023 at the age of 94. Ernie was predeceased by his parents, John and Caroline, his siblings Della, Malcolm, Eugenia, Lillian and Bill and his beloved wife of 41 years, Grace (Doreen). He will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his 3 children, Gwena, Hayley (Matheu) and Rene (Bonnie) and his many friends.
Ernie was born in Ituna, SK. He grew up in Regina and graduated from the University of Saskatchewan College of Pharmacy in 1954. He practiced in Lethbridge before moving to Craik, SK to own and run his first pharmacy. He married Doreen on June 30, 1960. In 1968 they moved to Medicine Hat where, over the years, he was a full or part owner of several drug stores in Medicine Hat and Brooks. After retirement, Ernie obtained his realtor’s license but never practiced. He continued his many hobbies which included ham radio, fishing, camping, adding to his many self-taught handyman skills and his love of watching hockey and football games. He also continued community volunteering which included committee work, the building of computers for seniors, teaching beginner computer skills to seniors and assisting seniors with taxes. Despite living with a chronic illness for his last 9 years, Ernie was determined to enjoy life to the fullest and did so with his devoted cat, Kissy, who travelled and remained with him after his move to Ontario.
Ernie will be remembered for the long, hard hours he worked to provide for his family, the counsel and support he gave them and the many hours he spent helping others.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Chartwell Regency (Mississauga) and Sunrise of Oakville for their incredible and generous support of both Ernie and his family.
