TYLER DEAN BANK

TYLER DEAN BANK July 21, 1983 – September 7, 2023
Tyler Bank will always be remembered as a guy who was quick to laugh and lend a hand and had a heart of gold.
Tyler passed away suddenly on September 7, 2023, in Medicine Hat, AB, at the age of 40.
In those 40 years, Tyler made many special friendships and memories. His proudest moment of all was the birth of his son, Liam. Together, they would go skating and swimming, threw footballs, played hockey and watched the games of their favourite team, The Oilers.
Tyler was always happiest when he was near his son, his friends and his family. He was so accepting of others and always made those around him feel comfortable. He had a light only others could see.
Left to cherish his wonderful smile is his mother, Janice Allen (Les Shepard); father, Martin (Pat) Bank; son, Liam Bank and his mother, Cathy Banasch; step-brother, Brandon (Erin) Wirsch; sister, Natalie (Noel) Appleton and their children, Bennett and Eddie; stand-in sister, Sabrina Moore; and many special aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who were like brothers.
Tyler was predeceased by his grandparents, Cecil and Grace Allen, and Stanley and Francis Bank.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Kin Coulee Toboggan Hill Picnic Shelter on Friday, September 15, 2023, at 2:00PM. Condolences may be made at http://www.gracememorial.com. For those wishing to do so, a memory photo board will be created and the family would love for you to add your favorite photo of Tyler. BOB NEIL

BOB NEIL 1937 – 2023
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear husband, father and grandfather Robert James Neil, beloved husband of Mabel Neil. Bob passed away peacefully in Taber on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at the age of 86 years.
The Funeral Service will be held at the Evangelical Free Church, 214 – 4 Avenue West, Bow Island on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. Condolences may be forwarded by visiting our website at http://www.southlandfuneral.com.
Those who are unable to attend and wish to view the service online may do so by visiting Bob’s obituary page on our website and clicking on the livestream link that will be available at 10:45 A.M. on Saturday, September 16, 2023. The livestream will begin at 11:00 A.M.
Bob will be lovingly remembered by his wife of fifty nine years Mabel; son James (Roxane) Neil of Lethbridge and their children Jaden and Emilie; daughter Sandra Neil (Fred Voeller) of Burdett and her children Megan, Taylor and Eric. He is also survived by his sister Janet Neil; close family friends Wyatt (Kayla) Albush, Lynn Strom and her children Michael, Leanne, Lisa and Sarah along with many more family and friends.
He was predeceased by his grandson Cody Hole; parents John and Helen Neil; uncle Lorne James.
Bob was born in Lethbridge on May 10, 1937 and raised on the family ranch (Cumbrae ranch) south of Burdett. He met his wife to be Mabel in Bow Island, however Mabel was from Rolling Hills so Bob courted her by flying his supercub airplane to pick her up. They married on June 27, 1964. Together they had two children James “Jimmie” born December 11, 1964, followed by their daughter Sandra “Sandi” on March 27, 1969.
Bob spent his years farming and ranching on the Cumbrae ranch which was well known for their sheep and cleanest fleeces in Alberta. He loved to fly in his supercub plane and his all time favorite hobby was to build and fly model planes. Bob hosted a yearly international fun fly at the ranch for twenty five years. Fellow model plane enthusiasts spent the weekend flying, crashing, rebuilding and flying more planes. Bob also enjoyed a good ride out on his Aspencade motorcycle, with the wind in his face and sun on his back. No matter the weather or how busy life was, there was always Monday morning coffee at Ralph and Coba Buinings, where all the neighbors would gather to share the weekly events. More often than not, Bob and Ralph would sneak off to work on tractors together. The two had a brother like relationship and were very close friends. Bob was well know in his community for his “howdie doody” greetings, kind heart and big hugs. He will be greatly missed.

DALLAS GENE BEWLEY

DALLAS GENE BEWLEY February 13th, 1952 September 10th, 2023
Surrounded by his family, Dallas Gene Bewley was promoted to Glory at the age of 71 years at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital.

Dallas was born in Toronto on February 13, 1952, to Evelyn and Clifton Bewley. He spent his early life “out east” and in 1973, ventured to Medicine Hat with Connie and his girls. Here, he gained employment with CP Rail where he worked for 35 years. Dallas spent much of his down time with family and friends, prioritizing meaningful conversations and making memories with anyone around him. He had a special way of making people (and dogs!) feel welcomed and important; he never skipped a beat when it came to making efforts with the stranger in the room. Dallas was gifted with a vocal range that would bring many to tears; his ability to sing was a gift from God, and Dallas faithfully and freely gave that gift to all who would listen. Many kids, old and young, were enthusiastically toured around his backyard, where he proudly displayed and meticulously maintained his garden railway. Dallas was a faithful servant; he fought his battle with cancer bravely and knew his Creator with every breath he had. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. We are assured to know that to be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord.

Left to cherish Dallas’ memory are his loving wife of 50 years, Connie Bewley (nee Kennedy); his daughters, Kelly Fiegal (Glen), Cindy Oulette-Desbien (Eric); mother, Evelyn Bewley and sister, Leigh Greaves (Frank); grandchildren, Derek Bewley-Bowles, Kayla Oulette (Andrew), Chandy Albers (Kurtis) and Shaye Lacasse (Darrel). He is also survived by uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, great granddaughters, great nieces, great nephews and cousins. Dallas was a friend to many, and we remember with fondness the happy memories he made with each of you.

Dallas was predeceased by his father, Clifton Arthur Bewley, granddaughter, Kristy Lynn Oulette, and his father and mother in-law, Maurice and Lois Kennedy.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 15th, 2023 at 10:30am @ First Assembly of God Church. A private family interment will follow service. For those wishing to attend, a public visitation will be held at Grace Memorial on Thursday, September 14th, 2023 6:30pm-8:00pm. Condolences may be made at http://www.gracememorial.com. RAYMOND “RAY” WILLIAMS

RAYMOND “RAY” WILLIAMS October 17, 1943 – September 6, 2023
It is with great sadness the family of Ray Williams announces his passing at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at the age of 79 years with family at his side.

After 44 years of marriage Ray is survived by his loving wife Carol Williams. His children Earl (September) Williams, Karry Williams, Cindy Williams, and predeceased by one son Shayne (Peggy) Williams. Carol’s children Wade (Liz) Stach, Terry (Lisa) Stach, Trevor (Debbie) Stach, and Bonnie Wallawein. He is also survived by twenty three grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, two nieces and one nephew, Cheryl McCracken, Louise Herrewynen and Doug (Lola) Deschamp.

Ray was born in Saskatchewan to parents Arthur and Erna Williams. He had two sisters Margaret (Ross) Deschamp and Peggy (Cliff) Schmidt all of whom are predeceased. He grew up and resided in Admiral, Saskatchewan, moving to Alberta in the early 1970’s.

His career had him highway trucking and eventually being owner/operator of his own truck. Due to ill health he had a career change and worked for Action Parts for 10 plus years. Following that time he purchased a gravel truck and worked for South Rock throughout Southern Alberta until health had him retire to coffee at Trukkers, golfing and coffee at Paradise Valley Golf Course with the guys.

Ray loved travelling and recreation including fishing, snowmobiling in B.C., then moving on to his 1983 Goldwing motorcycle. These trips took Ray and Carol to Prince George, Victoria and around Alberta. Then came his pride and joy, his 2000 Silverado Chev truck and holiday trailer taking them camping with friends, local camping with the Good Sam’s RV Club, and going to Fairmont Hot Springs for three weeks annually. For several years winter holidays took Ray and Carol to Osoyoos, B.C. for a month. Ray enjoyed his association with the Medicine Hat Optimist Club. Donations may be made to A.J.’s Loan Cupboard (Alan Joys Memorial Fund Society) Box 45006, McKenzie Postal Outlet, Medicine Hat, AB T1A 7H3. Thank you to nurse Marsha on 5 West, Dr. Mastel, Dr. Scholtz, and Dr. Tessier. Thank you to family, friends and neighbors for the support of food and kindness shown.
