AVYLYNN KATHLEEN HEIN

AVYLYNN KATHLEEN HEIN January 16th, 1984 – August 20th, 2023
With broken hearts and great sadness, we announce the sudden passing of our eldest daughter, Avylynn Kathleen Hein.
Avylynn is survived by her three children, Jakob, Lilyanna and Jackson, her parents, Pat and Dan Hein, her sister Jenica (UK), her brothers Josiah (Jessica)(Australia), Joshua (Braydi) and their children, Jayci and Dallan (Ontario). She is also survived by her oma Maryann Reinhardt and grandmother Rose High as well as many beloved uncles, aunts and cousins. She was predeceased by her grandmother Ivy Reinhardt and grandfathers Milt Reinhardt, Sam Hein and George High. She will be forever missed and fondly remembered.
Avylynn was born in Lethbridge. Her childhood homes were in Drumheller, Sylvan Lake, Bentley, Red Deer, Toronto and Hamilton. She made lifelong friends in each community.
Avy was fun. She had a bright smile and an infectious laugh. She loved people and animals fiercely and was always looking to care for dear friends/animals in need. She thought nothing of bottle feeding 3-day-old cats or driving across Canada for a friend in distress. Working as a personal support worker was a job that she was passionate about and allowed her to nurture others. Her heart knew no bounds. Avy was generous to a fault; as a child she gave away toys, and as an adult, she was always looking for gifts to bless others. She would and did give the shirt off her back or the shoes off her feet if she knew you needed them. She was extremely artistic, writing poems and fascinating stories as well as painting beautiful landscapes. Her greatest pride was her children. She was proud of Jakob’s work ethic; she loved watching Jack play hockey. She was excited about Lily’s piano and voice. She loved and adored them. Avy’s motto was: “For them I would risk it all.” Her memory and legacy of committed kindness will live on through her beautiful children.
Now we all ride the waves of this terrible loss alongside her children, her greatest gifts to this world. Please email stories and memories of Avylynn to the family at avy.memories@gmail.com In lieu of flowers you may support her children’s education by e-transfer to avy.memories@gmail.com
Avy will be laid to rest in her happy place where, while visiting grandma, she never forgot to take precious cousin Katie for a walk. Avy will be beside family in the Castor Cemetery.
We will gather to celebrate Avy’s life Friday, September 1st at 11:00 AM at Hillcrest Church, 3785 13th Ave SE, Medicine Hat,AB. Officiated by her first pastor, Rev Kervin Raugust.
