WARREN SHERA
1934 ~ WARREN SHERA ~ 2023 Warren Harold Shera of Medicine Hat, beloved husband of the late Marjory Shera, passed away on Sunday, May 28th, 2023 at the age of 89 years. Warren leaves to cherish his memory his children, Lynn Flannigan, Mark Flannigan, and Colleen (Doug) Webster; grandchildren, Jay Stokes (Lea Roe), Stacey Flannigan, Paige Webster, and Aliyah Webster; great-grandchild, Jadis; sisters-in-law, Betty Bennett and Shirley McLarnon; cousins, Bill (Cathy) Dallas and family, and Keith Cross and family. Warren was predeceased by his spouse, Marjory “Marj” Shera; parents, Harold and Evelyn Shera, and sister, Marilyn in infancy. Warren was an autobody man in Ontario and spent most of his working career in autobody. While living in Ontario, Warren also did harness racing. He was an owner, trainer, and driver of different horses. When Warren moved to Medicine Hat, he worked at Gas City Welding from 1981 to 2005. After leaving autobody, Warren was in real estate for eight years. He then was a security guard until his retirement. Due to his health, he retired in his 80s. Warren loved his horses and dogs. He also loved hockey and his favourite team was the Calgary Flames. He and Marj enjoyed gardening together and maintaining their beautiful garden, they both had green thumbs. Warren stayed very active and kept a healthy lifestyle as much as possible. He was a gentle soul and a kind, comforting, and loving husband, parent, grandpa, great-grandpa, uncle, and friend. HUMPHREYS, Judy June R.N. June 20, 1948 May 28, 2023 Judy June Humphreys (nee Liefso) passed away after a 26 month battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband, three children, two grandchildren, two sisters, a brother, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A nurse of 43 years, she was a dedicated caregiver and in retirement, an avid volunteer.
A Lutheran service will be held at Hillcrest Funeral Home, on Friday, June 9, 2023 at 2:00 p.m., with interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. JAMES “JIM” CHARLES PROSOFSKY September 6th, 1944 May 31st, 2023 Jim Prosofsky passed away on May 31st, 2023, at the age of 78 years. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Patricia Prosofsky; son, Jason (Teresa) Prosofsky; daughter, Kory (Andy) Bell; grandchildren, Marek, Jackson, Hayden, Brett, Drew and Bradley; brother, Jeff Prosofsky; sisters, Julie (Tom) Samoila and June Prosofsky; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Jim was predeceased by his brother, Joseph; sisters, Joy, Joan and Jan.
Jim was born in Brandon, Manitoba and raised in Regina, Saskatchewan. He spent most of his work life working in the oil and gas industry. He was away from home for long periods of time, but when he was home, he spent his time playing hockey, fussing with cars, and cooking. He had a big heart behind his tough facade. Everyone else came before he did. He was full of mischief and often played on the edge. It was a good thing he had nine lives. In 2008, he suffered a stroke and had to live with physical disability which didn’t stop him from maintaining his stubborn independence. He spent the remainder of his time watching his grandchildren grow, attending hockey games, and watching TV.
He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

ELSIE MARTHA ROBBINS (NEE FUNK
ELSIE MARTHA ROBBINS (NEE FUNK) 1931-2023 Elsie Martha Robbins (nee Funk) April 10, 1931, passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday, May 29, 2023, at the age of 92 years. Her four surviving children are Neil (Gloria) Robbins, Donna Rode, Kelly (Heather) Robbins, and Neil (Heather) Davis who will cherish her memory along with fourteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. Elsie was predeceased by her husband Arnold, daughter Gail, son Bruce and one grandchild. Elsie was born in Grande Prairie and later moved to Edmonton with her family. There she met then married Arnold on August 13, 1954. They spent 16 years raising their children in Estevan, Saskatchewan where Elsie also worked in the Co-op Bakery using her talents to bring joy to others through delectable creations. In 1971, they moved to Medicine Hat, where Elsie continued her baking career at Richardson’s Bakery until her well-deserved retirement. Elsie enjoyed creating arts and crafts, especially drawing horses and was known for gifting Gallery Glass window decorations to those close to her. Elsie kept social and active in many ways including many years of bowling. She was also a long time volunteer with VON and adult daycare. As we bid farewell to mom, grandma, great grandma and friend let us celebrate a life well-lived and find solace in the memories that will forever keep her spirit alive within us. In the early 2000’s she moved to Canada with Zhen and her young family, settling in Medicine Hat, and was honoured to become a Canadian citizen in 2005. She was dedicated to her family and she spent most of her years working with them in their family restaurants in Redcliff and Medicine Hat. She will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her. SHIRLEY NORTHROP May 28th, 1946 May 30th, 2023 Shirley Northrop passed away on May 30th, 2023, at the age of 77 years. She is survived by the love of her life, Marcus Northrop; daughter, Cindy (Mac) McCuaig; daughter, Debra (Bruce) Barnes; son, Cameron (Diana) Northrop; grandchildren, Nevada (John) Sweeney, Amery (Dustin) Wilson, Reid (Beth) Barnes, Tyson Freundl, Sydney Wanner, Kennedy and Taya Northrop; eight great grandchildren; four brothers; one sister. Shirley was predeceased by her grandson, Cody McCuaig.
Shirley was born and raised in Grenfell, Saskatchewan. Shirley was a very loving, dedicated and inspirational mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Shirley loved spending time with family and friends. She especially loved her trips to the lake, watching the loons on the water, travelling to Moose Jaw and following her children and grandchildren’s activities. Shirley always had a smile on her face and was loved by all that knew her. Everyone that knew Shirley, loved her infectious laughter.
