VERLA DIAMOND March 26, 1958 ~ April 18, 2023
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Verla “Snook” Elaine Diamond announces her passing at St. Joseph’s Home – Carmel Hospice in Medicine Hat on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at the age of 65 years. Verla was born in Medicine Hat on March 26, 1958, a daughter to proud parents, Edwin and Violet Klaudt. She spent her life in Medicine Hat, growing up on Riverside and where she received her schooling. A short time after graduating high school, she gained employment with AGT as an operator in September of 1976. This marked the beginning of a longtime career where her dedication and loyalty proved her worth to become a well respected manager and officially retired on March 31, 2023. She enjoyed the simple things in life like gardening, flowers and sipping white wine! Verla also liked Tigers hockey, beading bracelets and the great outdoors going camping and fishing with the love of her life, Keith. Fly fishing became a passion and every once in a while she could be seen in the park ‘fishing’ so she could practice fly casting. She enjoyed to travel and had many special trips that fond memories were made with family and friends. Verla was a selfless lady who always put others first… whether it was taking care of her family or volunteering with the Optimist Club, she always made time to help others. The best time spent was the valued time with her grandkids. She was the pillar of the family who will be greatly missed by her special partner and friend, Keith Gerrard; sons, Kyle Kennedy (Missy Blake) and Ryan Kennedy (Kayla Hoffman); grandchildren, Tucker, Alba, Everleigh, Kaden, Killian and Summer; siblings, Lavern (Marie) Klaudt, Brenda (Ron) Schimpf and Lyle Klaudt (Renee Dewar); Keith’s family, Erin (Cody) Evjen and Kellen Gerrard as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. MARK WINGROVE

1956 ~ MARK WINGROVE ~ 2023
It is with heavy hearts that we share that Mark Jonathan Wingrove, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, passed away suddenly on April 20th, 2023 at the age of 67 years, in Medicine Hat, Alberta. He is survived by his loving wife, Marlene Wingrove; daughter, Lindsay (Alex) Chisholm and their children, Colin, Brody, and Sawyer; son, Luke (Michelle) Wingrove and their daughter, Scottie; his sister, Joanne Parker; as well as numerous brothers and sisters in law, nieces and nephews, and beloved friends. Mark was predeceased by his son, Devin Wingrove; parents, Joe and Violet Wingrove; mother and father-in-law, Lawrence and Grace Johnston; sister-in-law, Sharlene Vanak; and nephew, Jason Vanak.
Mark grew up on a dairy farm in Creston, BC with his mom, dad and sister, Joanne. After high school, he moved to Brooks, Alberta with his high school sweetheart, Marlene, where they started their family and continued dairy farming with his dad. They lived in Brooks for 20 years, eventually moving back to their hometown of Creston to finish raising their three kids. When their children moved back out to Alberta, it was only natural for Mark and Marlene to move back to Alberta to be close to their children.
Mark lived his life for his family. He never missed an opportunity to spend time with them whether it was hosting frequent family dinners with his wife, Marlene, where there was always a guarantee of ice cream for dessert, going to his grandsons numerous sporting events, summer camping trips, taking the grandkids for rides in his red convertible, helping his kids with projects, and most recently, helping his son, Luke, to build a play set for his granddaughter. If he wasn’t with his family, he was riding his motorbike or in his garage (Dad’s Garage) working on his many bike projects and his car.
He will be missed by many and lovingly remembered by those who knew him as an unbelievably kind and caring man who was willing to help anybody at moments notice.
Mark was loved deeply by his family who will be forever grateful to have had him as their husband, Dad, grandpa, uncle, and brother.
A celebration of Life will be held at a later date in his hometown of Creston, BC.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you spend time with your loved ones enjoying your favourite ice cream. Condolences may be sent through http://www.saamis.com or to condolences@saamis.com subject heading Mark Wingrove. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to
