HITTEL, RONALD BERNARD January 26, 1946 March 31, 2023
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Ronald Hittel on March 31, 2023 at home in Saskatoon at the age of 77 years. Ron leaves to mourn his soulmate Debbie. Sons Tracey Hittel (Janelle) Ethan and Raea, Troy Hittel (Shelley) Sara and Joel; daughter Tara Tait (Carey) Anna and Bennett; stepdaughter Krystal Marks (Chad) and stepson Stephen Joseph (Robyn) Emma, Theo and Ryan. His sisters Bernie Domagala (Tom) and Angie Syroishka (Ron). Brothers Wayne Hittel (Shelley) and Gerard Hittel (Tammy); Sisters-in-law Brenda Figueiredo and Bonnie Harder (Ray). Brothers-in-law Bob Harder and Raymond Harder, in addition to numerous nieces and nephews. Ron was predeceased by his father Ben Hittel and his mother Ann Hittel, brother John Hittel and his sister in infancy Rosemarie Hittel. Brother-in-law Dennis Steciw. Father-in-law Jacob Harder, mother-in-law Doreen Harder and brother-in-law Timothy Harder. Ron was raised on the family farm in Mendham, Saskatchewan where he farmed with his dad and brother and was very active in the community, coaching minor baseball and curling. Ron was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus. Ron and his family left Mendham in 1989 to pursue a career with Saskatchewan Crop Insurance by moving to Saskatoon. He was very active in the curling community and joined the Nutana Curling Club in 1990 and served as President of Curl Saskatoon and on the board at Nutana Curling club. One of his proudest moments was being inducted into the Saskatchewan Baseball Hall of Fame with his hometown team the Mendham Monarchs. It was extra special because he was inducted with his two sons, Tracey and Troy, and his brother Gerard. Ron was an avid sports fan, cheering for the Toronto Blue Jays, Toronto Maple Leafs, San Francisco 49ers and the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Ron wanted to say a special thanks to all the doctors and nurses at the Saskatoon Cancer Clinic and Palliative Care. Also the many volunteers from Prairie Hospice for your caring and friendship which meant a lot to him. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday April 5, 2023 at Holy Spirit Parish (114 Kingsmere Place Saskatoon). SHIRLEY ADAMS

1931 ~ SHIRLEY ADAMS ~ 2023
Shirley Doreen Adams, beloved wife of the late Rev. Arthur Adams, passed away on Thursday, March 30th, 2023 at the age of 91 years. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Donna (Allen) and their children, Shawna (Darcy) and children, Shayna (Travis) and Kye, Brett (Danika), Brittney, Kevin (Jill) and children, Journey and Deacon; sons, Randy and Glenn (Deb) and their children, Andrew, Nicole (Ryan), and Jenna (Jordan); and daughter, Shari (Dana). She is also survived by her brother, Gerry (Marg). She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur; her parents, George and Katherine Kendall; her brothers, Mervin, Dennis, and Harold; and her grandson, Keith. Shirley was born in Melville, SK. In her early years, the Church was an important part of her life. This is where she met her true love, Arthur. They were married on June 2nd, 1954. Arthur became a Lutheran Pastor and this is where their Christian journey began. They served parishes in Leader, SK, Earl Grey, SK, Yorkton, SK, and lastly, Medicine Hat, AB. Over the course of her life, she had a big impact on many people as she was involved in Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, Choir, Bible Studies, and ladies groups. Raising her children was a full-time job, which she enjoyed immensely. She was a kind and loving woman who took pride and interest in her children and grandchildren. She loved to cook, garden, and maintain her home. Shirley has left a lasting impression on her many friends throughout her life. She was an inspiration to her family and she will be sorely missed, but it is a comfort to know that she walks with the Lord. The Funeral Service will be held at ST. PETER LUTHERAN CHURCH 758 – 8th Street SE Medicine Hat, AB T1A 1M5, on Tuesday, April 4th, 2023 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Shane Hein and Pastor Roland Weisbrot officiating. NANCY LOVEJOY 1933 – 2023 Nancy Edith Caroline (nee Washer) was born on October 20, 1933 and went to be with her Lord on the 31st day of March, 2023 at the age of 89 years. Nancy is survived by her loving husband of 20 years, Russell Gordon Lovejoy of Medicine Hat.
