AGNES 'LYNN' SKORPACK

June 5, 1939 ~ July 4, 2022

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Agnes ‘Lynn’ Skorpack (nee Frisch), beloved wife of the late James Skorpack, on July 4, 2022, at the age of 83 years. She is survived by her daughters, Barb and Cheryl; grand-girls; four great-grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and close friends. Lynn was born in Medicine Hat, and as an adult, relocated to Calgary where she later met the love of her life and where they raised their daughters together. As they contemplated a slower pace of life, they eventually relocated to the country near Elkwater where they enjoyed retirement together along with their many horses, dogs and cats. Lynn was a social butterfly who was always up for a visit, a game or an adventure of any kind. She enjoyed the outdoors with her flowers or in the garden and was frequently found planting more things than anyone knew what to do with – but this was intentional as she always wanted to have enough to share. She had a love for travel and was fortunate to have recently taken trips with both of her daughters. Lynn spent much of her time helping others, both through her church as well as through volunteering in the local community. Lynn’s greatest accomplishment was her family. A Celebration of Life will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Thursday, July 28, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Ryan Semchuk officiating. A time of fellowship will follow in the Cook Southland reception Facility. If friends so desire, memorial tributes in Lynn’s name may be made directly to St. Joseph's Home – Carmel Hospice, 156 – 3 Street N.E., Medicine Hat, AB., T1A 5M1.
