1929 ~ EDNA MARTIN ~ 2022
Edna Martin of Medicine Hat passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2022 (22 days prior to her 93rd birthday). Edna was born June 10, 1929 at Irvine, Alberta. She married Albert Martin on June 25, 1948. Edna and Albert were married 67 years at the time of Albert’s passing on July 2, 2015. She leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Harlan (Debby) Martin and Byron (Sharon) Martin; five grandchildren, Derek, Erin, Ryan (Krystal), Drew (Amanda), Erica (Eddie), Sargent, Owen (Jaime) and seven great grandchildren, Tate, Manny, Lola, Caleb, Carter, Kinley and Brynn. She was predeceased by her parents, Andrew and Alvina Dietelbach. We would like to thank the staff at Haven of Rest for taking such good care of Mom these past few years (we know she could be a challenge). A private graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 in the Hillside Cemetery. We would like to thank Dave Townsend and the Pattison Funeral Home. Margaret Rose “Peggy” Davis (nee Roche) passed away peacefully at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Thursday, May 19th, 2022 at the age of 82 years, in Medicine Hat, Alberta. Margaret is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Michael Davis. She is lovingly remembered by her children, Joseph (Billijo) Davis, Michelle (Gary) Folk; grandchildren, Ben Davis, Amy Davis, Jason Folk, and Cameron Folk; great granddaughter, Avery Davis; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Richard and Bridget Roche; sisters, Mary (Wilfred) French, Josephine (Brian) O’Rourke; and brother, Richard (Maureen) Roche. Margaret was born and raised in St. John’s, Newfoundland. She married Mike and their military life took them all across Canada and Europe. They travelled extensively; she had a passion to see new places. Margaret, known to many as Peggy, was a kind and compassionate woman. Her love of her family was immeasurable. She was an active volunteer and supporter of organizations, like the Medicine Hat Head Injury Program and The Legion. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. The Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Family Parish, 1451 Strachan Road SE, Medicine Hat, AB T1B 4V3 on Tuesday, May 24th, 2022 at 11:00 am with Father Iqbal Khurshid officiating. It is with extremely heavy hearts that the family of David Duff announce his sudden passing in Medicine Hat on May 16th, 2022, at the age of 55 years.
