1922 – PHILIP WAMBOLT – 2022

James “Philip” Wambolt of Medicine Hat passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at the age of 89 years, beloved husband of the late Elizabeth Wambolt. He leaves to cherish his memory three children, Garth Wambolt, Paul (Karen) Wambolt and Richard (Diane) Wambolt; three grandchildren, Brittany, Jack and Sam. He predeceased by one daughter Brenda in 1976. Funeral arrangements will be announced when completed. Interment will follow in the Hillside Cemetery. 1926 – GEORGE VOELLER – 2022

George Joseph Voeller of Medicine Hat, passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2022, at the age of 95 years, beloved husband of the late Lorraine Voeller. He also leaves to cherish his memory three children, Marlene (Brian) Campbell and their family Jason (Alicia; Nolan and Baylin), Allison (Kyle); Glenn Voeller; Tim Voeller (Joanne Minshull) and his family Dustin (Maria; Blayke and Hudson), Stephen, Dallas, Alexandra (Tyler; Trey, Kalia and Alaska), Amanda (Reilly; Zoey, Nixon and Liam) and their mother, Joyce Voeller; one brother Fred (Carol), brother-in-law Frank Sauer; sister-in-law Dorothy Sederberg, numerous nieces and nephews and his friend and neighbour Bill (Lavina) Friesen. He was predeceased by his wife Lorraine on April 10, 2009; his parents, Helen and Michael Voeller; four brothers, Tony (Florence), Simon (Mary), Kasper and Martin in infancy; one sister Anna Marie Sauer and by Lorraine’s family: Ruth (Gunster) Bruins, Nancy (Andy) Odegard, Lloyd (Nellie) Sederberg, Hilda (Ken) Babe, Vic Sederberg and Doris (Doug) Smith. George was born on July 9, 1926 at Granlea, Alberta. On October 26, 1950 he married Lorraine Sederberg at Whitla where they raised their family and farmed for over 50 years. George’s interests included farming, gardening, canning, holding garage sales, collecting hats and reading westerns. He enjoyed eating chocolate, playing guitar and singing; composing many of his own songs. His musical influence was Hank Williams. George entertained with his relatives at many seniors homes for years. Our family would like to thank Dr. Monty and his staff at Healthworx as well as the staff on 5 W and 2 N at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital for their care and compassion shown to George. The funeral service will be held in the PATTISON CHAPEL on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with Life Celebrant, Pat Grisonich. Interment will follow in the Hillside Cemetery. Catherena “Kay” Walchuk of Medicine Hat, passed away on Sunday, April 17th, 2022 at the age of 92 years. Kay leaves to cherish her memory her children, Dan (Marlene) Walchuk, Karen Walchuk, Viona (Merle) Krause, and John Walchuk; grandchildren, Carrie (Roman) Affolter and their daughter, Amelia, Brent (Stephanie) Walchuk and their son, Emery; Chris Sanders and his children, Amara and Aries; Nicole (Shane) Herlihy and their children, Avey Kay and Kea; Amber (Phil) Stark; Brandon (Traci) Krause and their children, Colt and Sadie Kay; Tarren (Krysten) Campbell and baby; Mariah Walchuk (Jake Phelan) and their children, Lux and Juniper, Jason Walchuk (Inge Bennie) and Ryan Walchuk; brother, James Gaetz; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Kay was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Margaret Gaetz; husband, Kenneth Walchuk; sons, Glenn Walchuk, Garry (Lynn) Walchuk and Rodney Walchuk; sister, Lee (Eric) Haussecker; and sister-in-law, Myrna Gaetz. Kay was a loving mother, granny, and great granny. She loved baking and her roses but most of all she loved spending time with her family.
