			1930 ~ PAT O’DONNELL ~ 2022
 Patrick O’Donnell of Medicine Hat passed away on April 3, 2022, at the age of 92 years, surrounded by his family and listening to Irish music. Pat was born in Stranorlar, County Donegal, Ireland and immigrated to Canada in 1956 to make a life in the Medicine Hat area. Pat was a well-known cattle buyer and judge of   livestock throughout his life and was rarely seen without a cowboy hat. He was predeceased by his partner, Betty    Krassman and her son, Brian. Pat is   survived by his sons, Keiron O’Donnell (Elaine Pederzolli), Barry O’Donnell (Joan Steiert), Dan (Arleen) O’Donnell and Joe O’Donnell (Barb Branson); daughter, Mata (Clyde) Pudwell; Betty’s daughters, Loretta Glass and Beverley Crawford; daughter-in-law, Cynthia Krassman; and numerous grandchildren and great-  grandchildren. On behalf of Pat, a special thank you to The Wellington Retirement Residence staff, and to the nurses,    doctors, and support staff of the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital for the care they provided in his final days. As per Pat’s   request, there will not be a formal funeral service. A private family service will be held in his honour. Condolences may be sent through

1977 ~ DEAN FISCHER ~ 2022
 Dean Gary Fischer passed away     suddenly at the age of 44 years. He leaves to cherish his memory his    daughter, Mya Fischer (Mya’s mother, Tamara Urlacker); father, Larry Fischer; sister, Joanne Fischer; as well as      numerous friends and cousins. Dean was predeceased by his mother, Shirley    Fischer. Dean was born on July 7, 1977 in Calgary, Alberta. He was the second child of Larry and Shirley and grew up in Medicine Hat. As an adult, he lived in Medicine Hat, Moose Jaw, Calgary and on the open road. Dean met Tamara in 2000 and they had their daughter Mya in 2005. Mya was by far his greatest joy in life. Dean was a long haul truck driver and he loved it. He enjoyed socializing and spending time with friends and family   (especially with his daughter Mya). He was a one of a kind free spirit. He saw the lighter side of things and was always    trying to make people laugh. He will be missed. A private family graveside     service will take place at Hillside Cemetery. BETTY KELM 
 August 19, 1933 ~ April 4, 2022
 Betty Anetta Kelm, beloved wife of the late Alf Kelm, passed away at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Monday, April 4, 2022, at the age of 88 years. Betty leaves to cherish her memory three children and their families: son, Brian (Kathy) Kelm of    Calgary and their family, Mark Kelm and Rick Zurak; son, Blaine (Sabrina) Kelm of Medicine Hat and their children, Dennie (Kenton) Hamaluik (children, Edith & Arthur) and Annette Kelm; daughter, Lori (Mark) Irvine of Calgary and their daughter, Meg Irvine; siblings, Leona Leeks, Carol (Ray) Chartier, Joan Lanz, John Wagner, Bob (Pam) Wagner and Janet Lyon as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Alf and her grandson, Chris Zurak. Betty was born in Eatonia, SK. After marrying Alfred, they made their way to Medicine Hat where they lived most of their lives. She was known for her patience, kindness and good cooking. She enjoyed cooking German foods… a skill she passed on to her children. Her love of animals and her maternal, loving nature are traits that will always be remembered. Betty lived a good, full life, enjoying each day to the fullest while brightening the day of those around her. A private Celebration of Betty’s life will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at 3:30 p.m. with Pastor Murray Jastor officiating.  Deborah Lynn Cook passed away at her home in Medicine Hat on Monday, April 4, 2022, at the age of 66 years. Deb will be lovingly remembered by her two sons, Shane and his daughter, Christie; and Colin (Stacie) and their children, Austen, Cody, Wilbur, Amellia and Avery as    well as her brother, Calvin (Lea).
