1931 – DOREEN GRACE STOLZ – 2022

Doreen Stolz passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2022, at the age of 90 years. She leaves to cherish her memory her two children, Cheryl (Jennifer) Stolz and Wayne (Lori) Stolz; sisters, Marlene Sulz and Diane Romanchuk (Ron Romanchuk); as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, August Stolz; her brother, Oscar Donald Moser; her brother-in-law, Lloyd Sulz; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws. Doreen farmed the homestead with her husband, August Stolz near Mendham, Saskatchewan, until she and August retired to Medicine Hat in 1986. In retirement she enjoyed hobbies such as crocheting, baking, gardening, fishing, and volunteering at Echo Dale hobby farm. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the funeral service will be by invitation only, on Friday, February 11, 2022, at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, #1 Dunmore Road SE, Medicine Hat at 3:00 pm. 1956 ~ LINDA McANDREWS ~ 2022

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Linda McAndrews, on February 1st, 2022, at 65 years of age after a brave battle with cancer. Heaven gained another angel as she joins her husband, the late Ronald McAndrews. Linda will be missed greatly by her children, Brandy (Matt) Stewart and Dustin McAndrews; her father, Patrick Michael; sisters, Cindy (Steve) Greene, Patricia Foley; brother, Leonard Michael; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Linda was predeceased by her mother, Loretta Michael. Linda was born in Medicine Hat, AB, on April 30th, 1956. In her mid twenties she met her husband Ron McAndrews and they married on October 1st, 1977. They resided in Medicine Hat and had two children. Linda was a devoted mother and wife, always smiling with a fun personality and well loved by everyone that knew her. She leaves behind many memories that will be cherished by her family and friends and she will be deeply missed. The interment will take place at Hillside Cemetery on Saturday, February 12th, 2022 at 1:00 pm. A Come and Go Celebration will follow at Desert Blume Golf Course, 107 Clubhouse Drive SW from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Desert Blume participates in the REP program. ELIZABETH IRENE NOBLE

December 14, 1935 ~ February 1, 2022
Mrs. Elizabeth Irene ‘Liz’ Noble, beloved wife of Bob, passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Home – Carmel Hospice in Medicine Hat on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at the age of 86 years. Along with Bob, Liz leaves to cherish her memory: three sons, Randy (Sandy) and their three children, Kayla (Joe), Jared (Mikayla) and Randall; Durwin; Brent (Cheryl) and their three children, Ashley (Dan), Dillion and Emilia (Shelby); two daughters, Penny (Warren) Hepfner; Diana (Richard) Bergen and their son, Trey. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren with one on the way; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy ‘Dot’ Simon and Beverly Jans as well as numerous other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Emilia and Louis Simon; brother, Louis; sister, Joan Mezei; Bob’s parents, Fred and Wilma Noble as well as a brother-in-law, John Mezei. Liz enjoyed her job as a bank teller, working with the Royal Bank until her eventual retirement. She took advantage of this extra time, going on numerous trips with Bob and family. A very community minded individual, Liz enjoyed giving of her time to numerous causes, especially at the Veiner Centre and working bingos and casinos. She was an avid Tigers fan and always on the move, whether going to bingos, bowling, volunteering her time or taking Bob dancing… again! She treasured her time with family and loved getting together with the children and grandchildren, especially for a game of cards or any kind of game! She leaves a legacy of love that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. A Celebration of Liz’s life will be held at the Medicine Hat Golf and Country Club, 947 Pigeon Street N.E., Medicine Hat on Friday, February 11, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. with interment to follow at Hillside Cemetery. Standard covid protocols will be in place, so those attending will be required to provide proof of vaccination. HAMMEL

Rosa Hammel (née: Buscholl), aged 99 years of Moose Jaw, SK passed away on Wednesday, February 2nd, 2022. Rosa was born and raised south of Sceptre, SK. She married Martin Hammel in 1950. They lived in several places but the longest was in Richmond and Cabri, SK. In their retirement years, Rosa and Martin moved to Moose Jaw and enjoyed the time spent with kids and grandkids. Family and church were very important to them.
She was predeceased by her husband, Martin; son-in-law, Dale; and siblings: Lizzie, Chris, Mary, Frank and Jim. Rosa is survived by her children: Marie, Frank (Rita) and Meinrad (Josie); 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Rosa suffered the last few years from Alzheimer’s disease. She is now at peace. Thank you to the staff at Moose Jaw Extendicare for the care she received.
A Funeral Service to honour Rosa will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Cabri, SK at a later date. Interment will take place at Cabri Cemetery. Robert Gordon Norwood passed away on Thursday, December 3, 2022 at the age of 92 years. Gordon is survived by his sons, Dale and Allan; his daughters, Sharon (Terry) and Valerie (Art); brother, Gary (Maureen); as well as his grandkids, nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren.
