CHERYL HEIDEBRECHT

1943 – 2021

It is with deep sadness that Heidi Heidebrecht informs you of the passing of the love of his life, Cheryl, after more than 60 years of marriage. Cheryl’s memory will live on in the hearts of her three children, Jodi (Robert) Faith, Renae (Kerry) Buss and Jason (Donna) Heidebrecht as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Cheryl Ann Livingston was born the youngest of three children to Clarence and Isabelle July 29, 1943. She grew up in Milk River and Lethbridge. Heidi and Cheryl were married in Lethbridge April 1, 1961.
Cheryl’s love of travel and family shaped her and Heidi’s life of adventure. They saw every corner of the world and shared their love during many family trips. Cheryl loved trip planning; her anticipation and attention to detail was something those she travelled with always appreciated. She loved her family – her heart was fullest when she could love on and be generous to Heidi, her kids and their families. Grandma was a great supporter of whichever activity her children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren participated in; she loved watching and cheering them on.
The Gideon ministry was a passion for Cheryl and Heidi; they shared scriptures around the world. On many trips an entire suitcase was filled with Bibles to distribute to eager contacts in other countries. Her faith in Jesus was important to her; she hosted or attended a weekly prayer cell for years; her family knew Grandma was praying for them and wanted them to know Jesus personally like she did.
Cheryl and Heidi enjoyed success in business; first in Brooks at Eastbrook Automotive and at Action Parts for over 40 years – many staff, customers and suppliers are counted as friends. Cheryl had a keen business sense; she was demanding while always fair. She was also an amazing listener who made friendships easily – showing her caring side in one-on-one interactions.
Cheryl will be forever missed by all her family and friends. Memorial gifts in Cheryl’s memory can be made to The Gideons – with cheques payable to The Gideons in Canada, mail to 3123 15th Ave SE, Medicine Hat, Alberta T1A 8K1 or call 403-866-3123. A private family service will be held and plans for a memorial service will be made and communicated once current restrictions are lifted.

Family gathered privately this past Wednesday to honour the life of this beautiful lady. The matriarch of the family has earned her rest and her loved ones will keep her memory in their hearts for eternity.

As we look upon her picture,
Sweet memories we recall,
Of a face so full of sunshine,
And a smile for one and all!
