1933 ~ REGINA EBERHARDT ~ 2021
Regina Eberhardt of Medicine Hat passed away on Tuesday, September 14th, 2021 at the age of 87 years. 1965 ~ DONALD "DON" VORRA ~ 2021

Donald Gordon Vorra of Dunmore, passed away on Monday, September 13th, 2021, at the age of 55 years. Donald leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Shelley; daughters, Taylor (Tyrell), Tori (Zack); sisters, Brenda (Byron) Livingstone, Cheryl (Bob) Patrick; nieces and nephews, Renee, Ryan, Clayton and Candice. Don was predeceased by his parents Gordon and Alfrieda Vorra. Don was born in Medicine Hat, AB on October 22, 1965. In 1969 his family moved to Port Moody BC. Don married his high school sweetheart on October 10th, 1992, in New Westminister, BC and lived in the lower mainland until 1998, at which time they moved to Medicine Hat. Don was employed with Trump Automotive at the time of his passing. Don enjoyed golfing, (especially yearly “Scub It Up” golf trips with the guys in the BC interior) rides on his Harley with his buddies, trips to Maui, Oilers & Tigers hockey, fishing, camping, and a good game of cards. Throughout Don’s life he gave so much and asked for so little.
Don truly believed the best part of life was when family becomes your friends, and your friends become your family. Don will be forever missed by all his family and friends. FREDRICK MEIER

1933 – 2021

Fred was born in Medicine Hat, AB, August 26, 1933 to parents, Bertha & Fredrick Meier. He is predeceased by his parents and 6 brothers and 2 sisters. Fred leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 68 years, Mildred; son, Randy; Randy’s daughter, Kendra (Bob Winterburn), Sadie, great great grandchild Launna; Maddie (Hunter); Randy’s son, Kraig; daughter, Jane (Steve) Blowes; Jane’s daughter, Tara (Mark Fennell), Nikki (Jake), Hunter; brothers-in-law, Bob (Millie) Jesse, Harry Zeller; sisters-in-law, Donna Adams, May Jesse, Norma Meier; numerous nieces and nephews.
Fred was raised in Fox, AB on the family ranch. He moved with his parents to Medicine Hat in 1949 where he attended school. Fred was married to Mildred Jesse in 1953. He went onto trade school in Calgary for Auto Body Certification. Fred worked at Gardener Automotive, Ted’s Autobody and was the vehicle painter at BATUS for 22 years, retiring in 1994. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking and spending time with family. He was a dedicated member of the local ELKS Club earning the Best Bartender Award. Fred loved riding motorcycles and had many trips with his buddies. The family would like to thank the staff at St Joseph’s Carmel Hospice in Medicine Hat. MARK BLOOMQUIST

1960 ~ 2021

Mr. Mark Bloomquist passed away in Medicine Hat on Thursday, September 9, 2021, at the age of 61 years. Mark was born in Assiniboia, Saskatchewan on June 17, 1960. This is also where he was raised and graduated from the Assiniboia Composite High School. He had many skills and worked as a mechanic, in autobody and various companies in the oil and gas industry. Mark was known for his hard work ethic and humorous nature as he was always pulling pranks! He was an avid Roughriders fan and enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time with the grandkids. On June 19, 2010, he married Cheryl Hawkins and recently celebrated their 11th anniversary. Mark will be remembered by his wife, Cheryl; children, Khrystyna Funk, Brandy Bridges, Jay McDonald (Joanna), Naquita Bloomquist (Mac), Sheila Hawkins (Curtis) and Travis Hawkins; grandchildren, Lily, Keaton, Emma, Ashton, Claire, Tyson, Kaiden and Hunter; siblings: Wanda Rust, Wendy Tendler, Brenda Williams, Shelly Oxelgren, Scot Bloomquist; brothers-in-law, Kelvin Hawkins, Glen Hawkins, Curtis Hawkins, Jerry Tendler, Larry Oxelgren, Blaine Hobbs and Bart Walters; sisters-in-law, Laurie Hawkins, Darlene Walters and Eunice Hawkins; mother-in-law, Marlene Hawkins and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Lloyd Bloomquist and Faye Day; brother, Kenneth; father-in-law, Norman Hawkins and brothers-in-law, Meryl Rust and Jim Williams. A Celebration of Mark’s Life will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street SW, Medicine Hat on Saturday, September 18, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. with Life Celebrant Lynett Getz officiating.
