1921 – MARTHA HAUCK – 2021
Martha Katherine Hauck of Medicine Hat, passed away on Sunday, July 11, 2021, two months short of her 100th birthday. Martha was one of seven children born into an immigrant family who homesteaded in Southern Saskatchewan. She was the last surviving member of her family. She earned a Teaching Certificate and taught for over 30 years at various locations in Alberta and Saskatchewan before retiring in 1978, while remaining active in St. Patrick’s Parish and the C.W.L. She lived a quiet and peaceful life, but was active in many community groups, and enjoyed curling and travelling. Not long after each of her trips, “slide night at Martha’s” followed and she shared memories of her travels. She lived at St. Joseph’s Home for many years where again, she expanded her circle of friends. Her St. Joe’s family was a great source of pleasure and comfort to her.
Although she never married or had children, Martha developed a large family around her. Her family included the many friends she met over the years and at least two families were fortunate enough to have her sponsor and support them as they moved to Canada. Although those acts were carried out many years ago, those who were affected continue to be grateful for her kindness.
Closest to Martha’s heart were her 16 nieces and nephews. Each one of them benefitted from her wisdom, kindness, sharp wit and incredible memory. She was always happy to share with them and always welcomed a call, card, letter or visit from them. Family and friends are welcome to attend the memorial service that will be held in the PATTISON CHAPEL at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 24, 2021 with Fr. Roque Pereira Celebrant. The service will be live streamed, and family and friends who are unable to attend are invited to watch the service by searching for the Pattison Funeral Home Youtube page. The video will go live 10 minutes prior to service time and will remain on the youtube page for future viewing. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery. In keeping with Martha’s wishes in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Home, the Medicine Hat Women’s Shelter or your local Food Bank. 1926 ~ RITA MARGARET MOE (nee MINOLETTI) ~ 2021
Our family is saddened to announce the passing of our beloved mom, grandma, and great grandma. Mom passed away peacefully with her daughters at her side, one day after her 95th birthday. She is survived by her three children, Susan (Curtis) Huber, Jon (Rada) Moe, and Nancy (Leo) Wolfer; grandchildren, Kristi (Chad) McDonald, Kristi and Jimmy’s father, Jim Dalzell; granddaughter-in-law, Kristine Dalzell, Benjamin (Erin) Huber, Anthony (Tessa) Huber, Emily (Ricky) Smith, Jennifer and Daniel Moe, their mother, Margaret Moe, and Steven (Kati) Wolfer; great grandchildren, Cedric and Isla McDonald, Ewan and William Dalzell, Brooklynn, Olivia, Theodore, James, Arianna Huber, Soren, Reuben, and Nox Huber, Landon and Remus Smith, and Quinn Wolfer. She is also survived by her sister, Amelia and her family. She was predeceased by her husband, Irving in 2008; grandson, Jimmy; her parents; brothers, Gino and Anthony; and many dear aunts, uncles, and cousins. Rita was born July 19, 1926 to parents, Antonio and Elisa Minoletti, in Fort William, Ontario. She grew up in Rossport, Ontario on the beautiful shores of Lake Superior, with her sister, Amelia and brother, Gino. They attended school in a one room schoolhouse. In the winter they skated and played hockey, and in the summer they picked berries, went on picnics, and fished in the harbor. Mom moved to Port Arthur (Thunder Bay) to stay with her grandmother while she finished high school. Three years later, her family also moved and settled in Port Arthur. Rita completed high school, took a business course, and started a job as a secretary with Lakehead Motors, where she worked for seven years. In 1950, she moved to Kimberley, BC to be near her sister. There she met and married our dad, Irving Moe. They moved to the Edmonton area, where they had three children, Susan, Jon, and Nancy. Mom was a stay-at-home mother and loved looking after her house and family. The family later moved to North Vancouver. Mom loved to entertain and hosted many family gatherings. She was a great cook and compiled a beautiful cookbook over the years with her favorite recipes, poems, and family pictures. Everyone has a copy. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. After Dad retired, they moved back to Kimberley. All of us spent many of our holidays there over the years. They enjoyed their yearly trips to the Oregon coast, where they collected and brought home many beautiful treasures from the shore. They loved to hike and ski together and with friends and family. Mom was interested in genealogy and traveled across Europe. She took several trips to Falmenta, Italy, where her family originated. She met many cousins for the first time! When Dad passed away, Mom stayed in their home for several years, but eventually moved to Medicine Hat, Alberta to be near her daughters. In her later years, she crocheted hundreds of dishcloths – gifts for everyone she knew! One of her final wishes was to visit her sister Amelia Austin, 97, in Kimberley, BC. She was able to do this just two weeks before her passing. There will be a private family graveside service. Condolences may be sent to

2000 ~ BAILEY MAE DOLLIMONT ~ 2021
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beautiful Bailey Mae. Bailey passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, July 15th, 2021. She will be lovingly remembered by her parents, Jim and Colleen Dollimont; brothers, James (Erin) Dollimont and Michael (Mags) Dollimont; niece, Isabel Dollimont; nephews, Jackson Dollimont and Liam Dollimont; grandparents, Roy and Merle Tuchscherer and Ann Dollimont; as well as numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear family friends. She was predeceased by her “Poppy”, James “Jim” Dollimont; her Auntie Sharon; and cousin, Patricia. From the time Bailey was born she was strong-willed, independent, and free-spirited; with a smile that would light up any room. Being outdoors with her “babin’ suit” on was always her favourite thing to do and for many years it was her preferred article of clothing. The beach was always her happy place. As Bailey was growing she took an interest in music and theatre, winning many awards at music festivals, and competing at the provincial level twice. She played Molly in a production of “Annie”, Ursula in the “The Little Mermaid”, and Maisy Bird in “Seussical Jr.”. Bailey loved all types of music from the “Oldies”, to Disney, to psychological and true-life dramas (which she had an uncanny memory for). Her favourite music style was Classic Rock and she loved sharing it with family and friends while visiting and enjoying a “cold one”. Bailey’s dream was to become a forensic psychologist, thus having an extreme interest in macabre individuals of the past and present, studying and learning the finest details of “what made them tick”. Her biggest love and passion were always her family, spending time with them in her laid back, no fuss way; just enjoying being together. She was a straight-shooter, honest and loyal friend, and had the very truest heart. Bailey had a deeper understanding of life, was an old soul and was wise beyond her years, never wanting to burden anyone with anything. Her concern was always for everyone else and she had the most beautiful spirit. Our beautiful Bailey is loved beyond measure and will live forever in our hearts, minds, and memories. She will always be with us — we will never be apart. A private celebration of Bailey’s life will take place at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, #1 Dunmore Road SE, Medicine Hat, AB with Father Rodel Abanto, Celebrant. Memorial gifts in Bailey’s 's memory may be made to the PLC Unit 38, Suite 800, 11012 Macleod Trail SE, Calgary, AB T2J 6A5, Telephone: (403)943-0615. Condolences may be sent through
