1925 – ANNA JESSE – 2021

Anna Maria Jesse passed away peacefully on Friday June 18, 2021 at the age of 95 years. Beloved wife of the late Otto Jesse. Anna was born June 30, 1925, at Surprise, Saskatchewan. She leaves to cherish her memory her two children Ivan (Sharon) Jesse and Nyla Bellamy, both of Medicine Hat; four grandchildren, Kerrie Jesse, Loni Thompson, Jordan (Alisa) Bellamy and Donovan Bellamy (Jennifer) and nine great grandchildren; one brother Howard Flaig, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Bertha and Andrew Flaig, four brothers Emil, Clifford, Edmond and Hilbert; two sisters Ida and Irene and a son-in-law Kenneth Bellamy. Anna married the love of her life on August 26, 1945, and they farmed together in the Hilda area until 1951, when they moved to Medicine Hat. Mom worked hard even at a young age helping neighboring families with farm chores. After moving to Medicine Hat, she worked as a chambermaid and laundry worker at numerous hotel and motel businesses. Mom loved sewing, knitting and crocheting making many heirlooms that are treasures that her family have as memories to cherish. Mom loved her camping and bus trips that fulfilled her and dad’s summers and winters. Family was always the most important part of her life. She treasured every moment she could spend with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. We take comfort in knowing that she is now with dad, and they are dancing to the music she loved so much. She was a wonderful mother, grandma, and great grandma and will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved her. Many thanks to Dr. Jeraj, the nurses on 4 West and the wonderful staff of the Haven Care Centre for the kindness and love shown to her. The funeral service will be held in the PATTISON CHAPEL on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Bob Church officiating. The service will be live streamed, family and friends are invited to watch by searching for the Pattson Funeral Home Youtube page. The video will go live 10 minutes prior to service time. Florence Helen (nee Meidinger). We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our loving family Matriarch on July 3, 2021. Mom was born on October 29, 1928 in Olds, Alberta, as the second of six children. She grew up in Bassano Alberta, married her soul mate Ralph on April 30th, 1950, and later that year moved to Medicine Hat. Family meant everything to Mom and she freely shared her love with everyone. She was an excellent cook and thoroughly enjoyed having company. She was a very proud mother, grandmother and great grandmother (GG). She was a tireless supporter of her family’s accomplishments and endeavours whether they be athletic, artistic, scholastic, or career. She was a loyal friend and confidant to all who knew her.

Mom was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Auxiliary and regularly volunteered selling poppies. She also served as a member of the Eastern Star. She canvassed for the Canadian Cancer Society and was a willing worker whenever approached for help.

She was predeceased by her husband Ralph Wellington Cowan, her son Ralph Wellington Jr., a daughter-in-law Peggi, her parents Albert and Rosie Meidinger, her brother Norman Art Meidinger, sisters Verna Cotton, and Doris Evans as well as numerous brothers and sisters-in-law.
