1916 ~ EMMA WEISS ~ 2021
Emma Weiss of Medicine Hat passed away on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at the age of 105 years, beloved wife of the late Charles Weiss. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Sharon Weiss of Medicine Hat and Joyce (Dale) Knops of Foremost as well as her sister Molly Hedley of Calgary. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Charles on December 2, 1974 as well as all of her other brothers and sisters. The family would like to extend a special thank you for the exceptional care and compassion that Emma received at the Sunnyview Care Centre. It is with heavy hearts the family of Edward “Ed” Joseph Bachmeier announces his passing on Saturday, June 26th, 2021 at the age of 87 years. He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 wonderful years, Marie Bachmeier of Medicine Hat. Ed also leaves to cherish his memory four children, Verna (Delvin) Moch and their children, Karlee (Jovan) and Kaelyn (Brody); Murray (Samantha) Bachmeier and their children, Chad and Sydney; Sharon (Kevin) Dahlman and their children, Jamie and Jenna; Neil (Brandi) Bachmeier and their children, Joscelyn and Abbie; two brothers, Philip (Karen) Bachmeier and Tom (Pat) Bachmeier; two sisters, Raphaela (Jack) Galarneau and Rose (Bob) Kambeitz; two brothers-in-law, Harold Mennis and Michael (Joanne) Tuchscherer; and sister-in-law Irene Tuchscherer as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Christopher and Elizabeth Bachmeier, his sister Marion Mennis, his father and mother-in-law Joseph and Rose Tuchscherer; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Catherine and Chris Harty, Rita and Garry Sehn, Donald Tuchscherer and a special niece Stephanie Chisholm. Family and friends will gather for prayers in the PATTISON CHAPEL on Sunday, July 4, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Parish (1451 Strachan Road S.E.) on Monday, July 5, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. with Father Iqbal Khurshid, Celebrant. Due to Stage 3 reopening protocol in place there are no longer any restrictions on funerals so everyone is welcome to attend. Darlene Patricia Walls passed away on Sunday, June 20, 2021 at the age of 72 years, beloved wife of Clayton Walls of Medicine Hat. She also leaves to cherish her memory two children, Bill and Dale Robertson both of Medicine Hat; three grandchildren, Calvin Dalton, Mason King, and Vashon Weatherbee; two brothers, Marty (Barb) Neufeldt and Gordon Neufeldt and her sister Warrene (Gary) Harwood. She was predeceased by her parents, Hazel and Stanley Neufeldt. Darlene had a wonderful sense of humour and a passion for helping others. Whenever she could, Darlene enjoyed making people laugh and smile. Many of her friends referred to her as “mom” because of the warmth and love she had for everyone. 1936 – 2021
NORMAN CHUEN, passed away unexpectedly in Medicine Hat, AB on June 25, 2021.
Norman was born February 10, 1936 in Bow Island, AB where he lived until he moved to Edmonton to attend the University of Alberta. The youngest of eight children, Norman was the only one of his siblings to attend university, graduating from the Faculty of Pharmacy in 1960.
From 1960-1963 Norman lived in Pincher Creek, AB where he worked for Cornyn Pharmacy. In 1963 he moved to Medicine Hat, AB where he worked as both a pharmacist and manager for Crestwood Pharmacy for 40 years before retiring in 2004. Norman, or as his customers knew him “Norm”, will be remembered for the service he provided and his willingness to give advice and assistance.
Throughout his life, Norman was an avid traveler and had a passion for learning about other cultures. During his lifetime he travelled to six of the seven continents and visited 45 countries. One of his most memorable trips was visiting his ancestral village in China and being able to walk on the Great Wall. Norman’s passion for travelling continued well into his retirement and was only halted by the recent pandemic. In addition to the friends he made while travelling Norman will also be missed by his many colleagues and friends in Medicine Hat.
Norman was predeceased by his parents Sun and Bow Sim Chuen; sisters, Irene, Helen, Mary and Hazel; brothers, Harry and George; and brothers-in-law John Fong and Lorne Fong.
He is survived and will be greatly missed by his sister Violet Fong and her family: Larry (Angela) and family, Gary (Denise) Fong and family, Donald (Deb) Fong and family, Randy Fong and family, Daryl Fong, Rodney Fong and Valerie Fong; and the family of his late sister Hazel Fong: Linda Fong (Binx) Selby and family, James (Linda) Fong and family, David (Anwen) and family, Shari (Dennis) Boisvert and family, Chris (Janelle) Fong and family.
Family and friends are invited to pay their final respects from 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Friday, July 2, 2021 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610-4 St. S., Lethbridge, AB.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am, on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at the WESTMINSTER UNITED CHURCH, Medicine Hat, AB. Interment to follow in the Mountain View Cemetery in Lethbridge.

Mom passed away peacefully at the Legacy Lodge, in Lethbridge, on Monday, June 28th, 2021, at the age of 94 years.
