1925 – ANNA JESSE – 2021

Anna Maria Jesse of Medicine Hat, passed away on Friday, June 18, 2021 at the age of 95 years, beloved wife of the late Otto Jesse. The funeral service will be held in the PATTISON CHAPEL on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Bob Church officiating. The service will be live streamed; family and friends are invited to watch by searching for the Pattson Funeral Home Youtube page. The video will go live 10 minutes prior to service time. Molly Roy of Medicine Hat, passed away on Wednesday, June 16th, 2021 at the age of 82 years. Molly is survived by her children, Ken (Amalie Nelson) Roy, Doug (Leah Belik) Roy, Lisa Wyatt, Sam (Kim) Roy, and Devon Roy; grandchildren, Brandi (Carlos) Lozano, Melissa Atwell, Juanita (Kory Carvery) Atwell, Cody (Sarah) Atwell, Timothy Wyatt, Derek (Olivia Weterhoud) Wyatt, Amanda (Devon) Little, Cassie Roy, and Lexi Roy; many great – grandchildren that she treasured and held near and dear to her heart; brothers, Joe (Adeline) Risling, Lambert (Rose †) Risling, Jack (Joyce †) Risling, Roy (Diane) Risling, and Dwayne Risling; and sister, Kathrine Coats. Molly was predeceased by her husband, Sam Roy sr; son, Ronnie Roy; parents, Jack (Elizabeth) Risling; brothers and sisters, Edward Risling, Elvin (Rose) Risling, Mary (Bert) Rassmesun, Ronald (Marj) Risling, and Ed Risling. MATZ

Pearl Ann Matz of Brooks, Alberta, beloved wife of Mike Matz, passed away at her home in Brooks on Saturday, June 19th, 2021 at the age of 68 years. Pearl Ann Matz was born on May 27th, 1953 in Medicine Hat, Alberta to Andrew and Barbara Harty. She was the sixth of seven children along with brothers, Leonard (Dorothy), Lloyd (Martha), Kenneth (Diana), Gregory (Diane), and sisters, Alice (Roy), and Ruby (Mel). She was raised in Medicine Hat until she met the love of her life Mike Matz and moved to Burdett, where they farmed and raised their two daughters Michelle and Kendra. They moved to Brooks in 1991 after selling the farm. Mike and Pearl were married for 47 years. She worked in bakeries slicing bread and then became a stay at home Grandma as her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy, she had a special connection with each and every one of them. Pearl will be remembered especially on Christmas for her "best gravy ever", her infectious laugh, throwing her slippers at her grandchildren, her love for every reality TV show and her endless collection of kitty sweatshirts she wore on a daily basis (and she hated cats). She has always reminded her family that "everything always works out in the end no matter what." She was predeceased by her Mom and Dad, Andrew and Barbara Harty, her sister Alice Flaig and brother Kenneth Harty. She will be missed by her loving husband Mike Matz, daughters Michelle Matz (Dale), Kendra Johnston (David), and the highlights of her life her grandchildren Michael, Mackenzie, Morgan, Matt, Kristopher, Kolton, Emily, and her great grandson Kaison.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the family will be sharing a Private Family Service.
