Virginia Botelho Cabral of Medicine Hat, beloved wife of the late Orlando Cabral, passed away on Saturday, June 5th, 2021, at the age of 94 years. The private family funeral mass will be held at HOLY FAMILY PARISH, 1451 Strachan Road SE, Medicine Hat, AB T1B 4V3, on Saturday, June 12th, 2021, at 1:00 pm with Father Iqbal Khurshid, Celebrant. 1942 ~ DENNIS LESTER AMAN ~ 2021
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Dennis Lester Aman of Medicine Hat, Alberta on June 6, 2021, at the age of 78 years. Dennis is survived by Bev (Dollie) Aman, Joyce Aman, Rocky (Merlynne) Aman, and several nieces and nephews. We will miss him dearly. Dennis was predeceased by his parents, Herbert (Tommy) Aman on April 21, 1988 and Freda Aman on April 12, 2010. Dennis was born October 24, 1942 in Medicine Hat, Alberta. He grew up on the family farm just outside Medicine Hat until the age of 23 when he decided to move into Medicine Hat. Dennis worked at various jobs. He went into partnership at Farmland Supply from 1973 – 1976, but due to health issues Dennis had to sell. His next venture was partnership with Tan-ge billiards, where he enjoyed working for the next five years. Dennis then got a part time job at the Imperial Motel, but after three years he was forced to retire due to his severe arthritis. Dennis loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed socializing, fishing, playing pool, long walks, but most of all he had an enormous love for cats. The family would like to thank the staff at St Joseph’s Home for their care and support. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Josephs Home (Palliative Care) 156 3 St NE, Medicine Hat, AB T1A 5M1. Due to Covid-19 restrictions (maximum 20 people) a private Graveside service will be held by family invitation only on June 10, 2021 at SAAMIS PRAIRIE VIEW CEMETERY at 1:30 pm. It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Gordon Delbert Pickett of Redcliff on Sunday, June 6, 2021, at the age of 84 years. Del was born in Welling, Alberta on February 26, 1937, to Fred and Olga Pickett. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Delores ‘Dee’ Pickett (nee Slater); sons, Randall (Colleen), Kent (Audrey) and Sheldon (Carmen) Pickett as well as his daughter, Arlene (Murray) Dylke. Del was predeceased by his son, Mark; grandson, Morgan; granddaughter, Samantha Chebuk; father, Fred Orlander Pickett; mother, Olga Pickett (nee Narum); sisters, Hazel, Rose and Helen as well as his brothers, Mearl and Floyd Pickett. The family wish to thank all of the nursing and health care staff at St. Joseph’s Home – Carmel Hospice as well as the Riverview Care Centre; you are indeed angels of mercy!
