1937 ~ 2021
Margaret Brock (nee Wilker) passed away peacefully at Age Care Valleyview Centre on May 17, 2021 at the age of 83. Margaret is survived by her common-law husband of 47 years, Murray Dube. She is lovingly remembered by her sons, Greg, David, and Terry; stepsons, Blake, and Mark; grandchildren, Kassy, Leah, Kristen, Kale, Lainey, and Kailey. Margaret is predeceased by her parents, Walter and Myrle Wilker; first husband, William (Bill) Brock; and brother, Harry Wilker. Margaret was born near Turtleford, Saskatchewan in 1937. She met her husband, William (Bill) in Imperial, Saskatchewan and they had three sons, Greg, David, and Terry, later settling in Regina. She was the quintessential hockey Mom shuttling three boys to every practice and game. After her first husband William passed away in 1972, she met Murray and remained in Regina until 2008, retiring since then in Medicine Hat Alberta. Margaret adored her grandchildren, Kassy, Leah, Kristen (David and Cynthia), Kale (Terry and Melanie) and Lainey and Kailey (Blake and Della Dube) and they were the center of her life in her latter years. Margaret was known to her friends and family as being kind, loving, generous and hardworking. She was often described as the “energizer bunny” while managing Dewdney Drugs in Regina. Her home was open to all and many were recipients of her endless kindness and support. Special thanks go out to Age Care Valleyview Continuing Care Centre for the compassionate care she received at the end of her life. The Funeral Service will be held at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, #1 Dunmore Road SE, Medicine Hat, AB on May 21, 2021 at 1:30 pm (Mountain Standard time).
