Tillie leaves to cherish her memory three children; Rodney (Kara), Bonnie (Dave) Offredi of Calgary, Gail (Wes) Hall. Her Grandchildren; Tessa (Neal) Myers, Derek (Patty) Groves, Travis (Jennifer) Kobly, Tanner (Cassidy) Kobly, Amy Offredi and Justine Olds. Great- Grandchildren; Atreyu and Indiana Myers, Gannon and Levi Kobly, Beau Olds and Isaac Groves. Her siblings, Jack (Betty) Resch, Charlie Resch, Jean Smith, Sam (Marion) Resch, Pat Resch & numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her loving daughter Deborah, son in-law Dean Kobly, her siblings Emily Erickson, Rose Meyer, Larry Resch, Alec Resch, Mary Harris, and Elizabeth Tuchscherer. Matilda was born in Cabri, Saskatchewan on April 11, 1942 to Jack and Philomena Resch and was raised on the "Resch farm" South of Lancer, Saskatchewan. Mom was the second youngest of 12 children. She met Bill at a dance in Lancer, Saskatchewan. Mom and dad started their life together on a farm south of Lancer, later moving to Swift Current to be close to a hospital due to health conditions of mom and Debbie. In 1969, mom and dad packed up the family for their journey to Medicine Hat which became home for many years. Mom worked for 25 years at BATUS Training in Suffield where she retired. Mom’s enjoyment was to do canning, making egg noodles, pizza pockets and salsa for her family. Her greatest joys were preparing the big dinners for the family and all the visiting. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life. Mom battled throughout her life with her mental illness and was a stronger person because of the illness. Mom had spent her last five years living at Meadow Ridge Senior’s Village where she met many new friends and had a great family to take care of her that loved her dearly. She enjoyed playing bingo and won often. Mom enjoyed when the bands came to play and especially if it was her brother Charlie playing his guitar, which made her very happy. We as a family would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the amazing caregivers in the Merrylea Cottage at Meadow Ridge for taking such wonderful care of our mother and for loving her as one of your own. Thank you to the nursing staff on 4 West at the MHRH for the awesome care you gave to our mom on her short time on the unit. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private funeral service will be held in the PATTISON CHAPEL on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. with Celebrant, David Townsend.
