COLIN NORWOOD
1953 ~ 2021
It is with a heavy heart that Cheryll announces that her beloved husband, Colin Norwood, passed away at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Friday, February 5, 2021, at the age of 67 years. Along with Cheryll, left to mourn Colin’s passing are his children, Lauren de Graaf and Melanie (Derek) Hagens; granddaughters, Kayla ‘Bug’, Brianne ‘Cheese’ and Lily ‘Princess Wienie’; siblings, Anne, Charlene (Uwe) and Janette (Carlos) as well as his fur babies, Lili, Jesse, Babs and Smokey. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Isobel Norwood. Colin, also affectionately known as ‘Shakey’ or ‘Twitch’, was a friend to many and was an animal lover at heart. He loved his Harley Davidson and when he wasn’t riding on the open road, he could be found watching Jeopardy or hockey. Being married to Cheryll for 36 years showed how loyal he was… this was a trait that Colin took very seriously. His quick wit and readiness with a joke or a story to make people laugh will forever be missed. Colin will be silently remembered by family and friends without the proceedings of a formal funeral service. (Condolences may be expressed by visiting our website at
