1927 ~ ESTHER RAUGUST ~ 2020
Esther Edna Raugust of Medicine Hat passed away on October 26, 2020 at the age of 93 years, beloved wife of the late Jakob “Jack” Raugust. She leaves to cherish her memory two children, Faye Bosch and Elaine (Ken) Lupul; five grandchildren, Coral (Kevin) Leblanc, their children, Morgan and Josh; Teri (Cam) Maxwell, their children, Tanner, Hayden, and Evan; Wayne (Jane) Bosch, their children, Halley and Jack; Darcy (Lori) Bosch, their children, Joscelyn and Alysia; Rick (Colleen) Bosch, their children, Bryden, Tianna, and Dariyne; her sister, Lydia Wilhelm; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Katie and Rudolf Sukut; her husband, Jack Raugust in 1999; and son-in-law, Henry Bosch. Esther and Jack farmed near Mendham until retirement in 1992 at which time they moved to Medicine Hat. Those who wish to pay their respects may do so at the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME on Thursday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the PATTISON CHAPEL on Friday, October 30, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. with Life Celebrant, David Townsend.
Due to restrictions in place regarding COVID- 19 from the Chief Medical Officer of Health – funeral services are now limited to no more than 100 attendees including family and funeral home staff.
Family and friends are invited to remotely attend the funeral service by going to youtube.com and search for Pattison Funeral Home. The video will go live 10 minutes prior to service time on the Pattison Funeral Home youtube page. Interment will follow in the Hillside Cemetery. 1944 ~ 2020
Anthony ‘Tony’ Brown, beloved husband of Brenda, passed away at St. Joseph’s Home – Carmel Hospice in Medicine Hat on Thursday, October 22, 2020, at the age of 75 years. Along with Brenda, his loving wife of 44 years, Tony will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Paul (Karen) and David; daughters, Susan and Lisa (Tyrel) and grandchildren, Van and Georgia. He is also survived by six brothers, James, Christie, Paul, Noel, Lawrence and Liam; four sisters, Kathleen, Pam, Margaret and Angela as well as numerous nieces and nephews for whom he was and will remain, “The Legendary Uncle Tony.” He was predeceased by his parents, James and Kathleen Brown and brother, Thomas. Tony was born in Dublin, Ireland on December 23, 1944, immigrated to Canada in 1968 and eventually settled in Medicine Hat where he especially enjoyed the hot summers. Tony worked as a pipe fitter and a house painter. He will be fondly remembered for his years delighting audiences and fellow cast and crew as a cherished member of the Medicine Hat Community Theatre groups. Tony was the life of every party, entertaining friends and family with his musical talents, playing guitar and singing. A private family service will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2020, and friends are then welcome to join the family at Player’s Pub, 39 – 8 Street NW, Medicine Hat for a few drinks in Tony’s honour, beginning at 4:00 p.m. (Condolences may be expressed by visiting our website at
