1935 – MARVIN SAUER – 2020

Marvin Paul Sauer passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2020, at the age of 84 years, beloved husband of Delores Sauer of Medicine Hat. He also leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Kendra (Dwayne) Olson; five grandchildren, Jodi (Allen) Hornung and their children Eben, Bram and Otto; Stacey Martini, Danielle Sauer, Brandon Sauer (Kristi Hildenbrand), and Forrest Harvey (Amber Cresswell); sister Bev Shannon; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, brother and sister-in-laws. He was predeceased by his parents, Paul and Rose Sauer; brother Lawrence Sauer; sister Ann Deering; daughter Monica in 2008; son Dennis in 2009; great grandson Zane; and father and mother-in-law Ben and Irene Fodness. Marvin grew up on the family homestead, west of Seven Persons. He married Delores Fodness in October 1960, continuing life on the family farm where they raised their three children. Marvin was a skilled farmer and an accomplished carpenter. He had a love for cars and a passion for antiques. With a smile that would never fade, Marvin could bend the ear of anyone fortunate enough to listen. He held his grandchildren close to his heart, and his memory will be forever cherished in theirs. The funeral service will be held in the PATTISON CHAPEL on Wednesday, April 1, 2020 at 1:30 p.m. with Fr. Vijaya Bathineni officiating.
Due to restrictions in place regarding COVID-19 from the Chief Medical Officer of Health – funeral services are now limited to no more than 15 attendees including family as per invitation only.
Family and friends are invited to remotely attend Marvin’s funeral service through live streaming on the Pattison Funeral Home and Crematorium Facebook page. A private family interment will follow in the Hillside Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Alberta Heart and Stroke Foundation. 1959 ~ DARRELL BAUMGARDT ~ 2020

Darrell Baumgardt passed away on March 22nd, 2020 at the age of 60 years. He leaves behind his children, Michael Baumgardt, Kurtis Baumgardt, Dana Dmytro, Miranda Hancock and Jen Banks, as well as four siblings. He was predeceased by his parents, Norman Baumgardt and Hazel Drader; and his sons, Drew Dmytro and Travis Baumgardt. A memorial service will be arranged at a later date.
