1930 ~ MILTON TENZER ~ 2020
Milton Rudolph Tenzer of Medicine Hat, beloved husband of Louise Tenzer, passed away on Tuesday, February 4th, 2020 at the age of 89 years. Milton leaves to cherish his memory his sisters, Janet Burkart, Dorene Hauck, and Lois Hunt; brother-in-law, Ken Schende; and numerous nieces and nephews. Milton was predeceased by his parents, Rudolph and Matilda Tenzer; sister, Diane Schende; and brothers-in-law, Gordon Burkart, Frank Hunt, and Peter Hauck. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1 Dunmore Road SE Medicine Hat, AB T1A 1Z5, on Sunday, February 9th, 2020 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm and at St. PAUL’S LUTHERAN CHURCH, 515 Sprague Way SE, Medicine Hat, AB T1B 4A7, on Monday, February 10th, 2020 from 12:00 pm to 12:55 pm. The Funeral Service will be held at ST. PAUL’S LUTHERAN CHURCH, 515 Sprague Way SE, Medicine Hat, AB T1B 4A7, on Monday, February 10th, 2020 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Ken Edel officiating. 1938 ~ TILLIE HERRELL ~ 2020
Tillie Mary Herrell of Medicine Hat passed away on Monday, February 3rd, 2020 at the age of 81 years. Tillie leaves to cherish her memory one son, Wayne Resener (Loana Leblanc); four daughters, Colleen (John) Pennington, Glenda Resener, Beverley (John) Smart and Debbie Resener; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two brothers, Peter Yurdiga and Harry Yurdiga; and one sister, Diana Petroski; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Tillie was predeceased by her parents, Sam and Mary Yurdiga; four brothers, John Yurdiga, Nick Yurdiga, Steve Yurdiga and Paul Yurdiga; and two sisters, Olga Plashka and Mary Duma. Our sweet loving Mother worked so hard her whole life to provide a loving home for five children. She had the most beautiful gardens, with flowers and fresh vegetables and canned lots of food for us. We never went without and my mother was always there for us with loving hands to hold us and sweet kisses of comfort. There was never any shortage of love in her heart for all her children. Words cannot express how deeply she will be missed. We will love her forever in our hearts and sweet loving memories will last us a lifetime. Thank you Mom, we love and miss you so much…We shall see you again in Heaven. LAURA COLLIER
Our gentle, soft spoken, loving daughter, sister, aunty, grandma, great grandma and friend, Laura Collier passed away Feb .4, 2020 in the Medicine hat Regional Hospital. She was born January 19, 1957 in Virden, Manitoba. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 39 years, Ross Collier and their son Matthew, her brother David (Sandra) Sergeant, sister Pam and Angie Sergeant and her mother Claire, also grandchildren Coleton Hauck, Paige Hauck and Kaidence Olson Collier, one great grandson Hudson Hauck and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by their son Christopher and daughter Jennifer, her father James and brother Brad. Laura was diagnosed with Myotonic Dystrophy as a teenager. It is progressive muscle weakening with associated pain. It affects different people differently, from extremeties like hands and legs to lungs, heart and tongue. However she accepted her fate and carried on to the best of her ability with a great sense of humour. In lieu of flowers if friends so desire donations may be made directly to: Alberta Pound and Rescue Centre 1002 S. Railway St. Medicine Hat, Alberta T1A 2W2 A celebration of Laura's life will be announced at a later date.
