It is with much love and sadness that we announce the passing of Jack, beloved husband of Helen (nee Haw) on Friday, December 20, 2019 at the age of 86 years. Jack passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospice. Jack spent most of his working years in sales. He was a successful realtor in Calgary for over 25 years. In their retirement Jack and Helen were snowbirds for several years travelling in their motorhome all over the southern United States. Besides his loving wife, Helen of 62 years, he is survived by his children, Jolayne (John) de Weerd, Patti Kennedy and Don (Sue) Carleton. Jack is also survived by his grandchildren, who were the light of his life, Jason (Tara) de Weerd, Craig (Natasha) de Weerd, Bret de Weerd, Jaclyn (Daine) Todd, Callie Kennedy (Brett), Shalyn Kennedy (Tate), Brooklyn and Ty Carleton. Jack is also survived by his great-grandchilden, Kai, Jade, Jake and Cara de Weerd and Remi Todd. Jack was predeceased by his granddaughter, Brianne Kennedy; his parents, Leslie and Fleda Carleton; his sister and brother-in-law Lorraine and Glenn Heron and his nephew, Lyle Heron. At Jack’s request no funeral service will be held. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Carmel Hospice (St. Joseph’s Home) 156 – 3rd Street N.E., Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1A 5M1. KERGAN

Ryan Dominique Kergan passed away the morning of December 19, 2019. Born May 3, 1984 in Lethbridge AB to Annette Raasch and Bill Kergan, he was a one of a kind with 7 half siblings. Though he wandered between Medicine Hat AB and the west coast of BC, his home and heart was in Kelowna with his daughter Aleathal Kergan Cannon and his brother and Best friend, Scott Raasch.
