DARLENE JANS (STROBEL)

October 8, 1937 – June 23, 2019
Mom went from being our Angel on earth to our Angel in heaven on Sunday, June 23, 2019, only after making sure that all of us were okay with her leaving. She lived her life for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. No sacrifices were too great or too small when it came to them. Mom will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by those she held nearest and dearest to her heart: her children, Sheila and Greg Koch, Greg and Sharon Jans, Val and Gerald Alexander; her grandchildren, her Guardian Angel Christopher Koch, Courtney and Averry Yanyk, Carie and Blake Czember, Christine and Barry Duecy, Curtis and Tenille Jans, Carissa Alexander, Cylenna Alexander (Gareth Williams), Channia Alexander (Cam Geiger) and Carlin Alexander; great grandchildren, Jordyn Yanyk, Jake and Zak Czember, Jayden Stahl, Jeremy Duecy, Lily and Chase Jans. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Gladys Strobel and their children Sandy Milsap and Keith Strobel. Mom was predeceased by her parents, Raymond and Evelyn Strobel; her mother-in-law, Anne Jans and her dear grandson Christopher Koch. Mom you were the best of all of us and we couldn’t have asked for a better role model. You can rest in peace knowing that a part of you will live on in each and everyone of us. MORE WE LOVE YOU!! A graveside service will be held at Hilllside Cemetery on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. Those who wish to attend are asked to meet inside the main gate to the cemetery at 1:45 p.m., dress casually. June 7, 1950 ~ June 21, 2019
It is with heavy hearts that we the family announce that James ‘Jim’ Rolland Roads, beloved husband to Sue, passed away at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital while surrounded by his family on Friday, June 21, 2019, at the age of 69 years. Jim is also the loving father of Angela (Colin), Jodi (Darren), Janine, Stacy and step-daughter, Cathee; loving grandpa to Connor (Kara), Cole, Alexandra, Faith, Avery, Alyssa and Aiden. He also leaves to cherish his memory his sister, Jeanette; a large extended family; numerous nieces and nephews as well as many true friends. A private family time of remembrance will be held at a later date. Muriel Marks (nee Senft)

December 14, 1935 – June 22, 2019
With heavy hearts we announce that Muriel Marks passed away on June 22, 2019 in North Vancouver BC.
Mom was born and raised on a family farm near Lipton Saskatchewan, the youngest of 12 siblings. In 1958 she married Reuben Marks. During their marriage, the couple lived in six different communities where Mom made friends rapidly and easily, enjoying her time in each location. Upon retirement, Mom and Dad moved to Kelowna BC where they enjoyed over 25 years in their retirement dream home and loved hosting their Grandkids and numerous Prairie guests. Mom was afflicted with Alzheimer’s the last few years of her life and eventually moved to a care facility in North Vancouver. Her love of singing and musical ‘diddies’ stayed with her almost to the very end.
Muriel leaves to mourn her husband Reuben of almost 62 years, her son Brad (Olga) of North Vancouver and Grandsons Sean (Shannon) and Stephen, as well as her brother Harvey (Edyth) and sisters Irma and Vera, and countless extended family.

WADE ERNEST WOLFE

April 5, 1958 ~ June 19, 2019

It is with sadness that the family of Wade Ernest (Leskiw) Wolfe announces his passing at the Peter Lougheed Centre in Calgary on Wednesday, June 19, 2019, at the age of 61 years. Wade attended school in Medicine Hat at George P. Vanier then moved to Calgary and went to Colonel Sanders and Lynwood School in Winnipeg before returning back to Calgary to finish his education again at Colonel Sanders. Following his graduation from school he worked as a machine operator at Standen’s Springs and Steel in Calgary until September 1996. Wade had a natural ability from a very young age to repair or tinker with anything that had a motor especially a radio, watch or record player as well as cars. He had a passion for collecting anything and everything and multiples of any one item. Wade loved animals of any kind and enjoyed watching Dr. Pol. He loved his Dachsund, Micky who was his constant companion. Wade was a gentle, kind person with a sense of justice and loved to make people happy while enjoying a good laugh and telling stories. He will be lovingly remembered by his step-mother, Marian Leskiw; sisters, Cynthia (Harold) Bice and Petrina Tellstone; nephews, Chris (Candace) Bice and Corey (Erin) Bice; nieces, Ashley Tellstone; twins, a nephew, Jesse Bonaparte and a niece, Haileigh Bonaparte; great-nieces, Quinn and Aria; aunts, Lisette, Darlene, Gladys and numerous cousins. Wade will be remembered by long time special friends, Bettie Lewis and Brent Nichols. He was predeceased by his birth father, Edward Leskiw; grandmother, Mary Leskiw; his birth mother, Arlene Delzer; and step father, Peter Wolfe. A special thank you to special helpers, Elena, Rod and Dan. The Celebration of Wade’s life will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Wednesday, June 26, 2019, at 2:00 p.m., with Life Celebrant Gerry Getz officiating.
